My daughter is a creep. She's really into some bizarre books and she's only 4. I'd like to encourage this madness, and am seeking suggestions for anything a little twisted, but still kid friendly. We're at picture books age, but soon enough she'll be ready for chapter-y books, so all suggestions are welcome. These are some of the current favourites:

Frankenstein Makes A Sandwich

Goodnight Goon

Where The Deep Ones Are

Link me to more awesomeness, please!

Thanks for posting those. My son would love them. He is right about the same age.

Check out Daniel Pinkwater's books. I haven't read any of his books for younger readers, but I love the middle grade stuff like Lizard Music.

Flanimals by Ricky Gervais.

Also, Where the Wild Things Are.

Try and get hold of the Goon Cartoons by Spike Milligan, comic strip that is simple enough for kids to follow but is brilliant and well worth a read for grown ups too.

I used to read Ant and Bee as a kid. They were great but they're collectors items now and really expensive.

Those Daniel Pinkwater books look awesome, and hilarious. I will have to track some down!

Seb, I will look for all of those.

The mummy book is awesome, although recently Jonathan isn't into it anymore.  Which bums me out.
