So I wrote quite a bit when I was younger and haven't really done it in a while. I would like to hopefully meet a few new friends through this site, as well as see if I have any type of talent at all. I was brought to this site by Burnt Tongues. The book I am currently reading/fascinated with. I don't know much about transgressive writing, but I enjoy it.

Welcome!

Glad you're enjoying Burnt Tongues. If you're into transgressive writing, you definitely came to the right place.

Talent's overrated. Seek skill.

"Talent's overrated. Seek skill."

That possibly could be the best advice I've ever received. Thank you Thuggish. I guess my next question would be where and when I could start sharing a few things I've written? I'm very new to this, so I could use a little hand-holding on how the community works. Thank you for any and all advice! I hope I can learn a little bit of the craft and pick up a few new books/authors along the way!

I would say check out the writers' workshop. There's a paywall, but the value of the essays alone makes it worth it.

Welcome to LitReactor. I second what Brandon says, the essays are invaluable! :)
