So, I need everyone's opinion on what films/tv shows/etc., that are streaming on Netflix, you would consider gems. Gems being precious, usually flawless (though we'll be less strict on how flawless) works that continue to be valuable over the years.

Here's my list:

Adaptation
A Boy and His Dog
Primer
An American Werewolf in London
Mulholland Drive
Beyond The Black Rainbow
eXistenZ
Metropia
Metropolis
Sherlock (BBC)
Nosferatu
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Drive

I'm looking for shinning examples of film, and tv, works you can go to with the intent of learning from them.

House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Derek, Arrested Development

I still get 90% of my movies on disc, and don't stream very much. In fact, I just checked this morning, and in my 10 years on Netflix, I've watched nearly 1000 discs.

I never would have fell in love with Doctor Who without Netflix.

Also, Firefly. Always Firefly.

Go Browncoats!
