That's awesome!  I also hate wind chimes, and for the very same reason!

And tricycles turned over on their sides in yards with dead grass.  For the same reason.

Thanks, everyone! I would have responded sooner but have been slammed, and then got really sick last week. But better now!

@Jonathan, there is no need to be jealous of me at all. I bet you're a probably a better writer than I am. I feel like such a newb half the time! :)

@Utah, we are kindred spirits in our fear of wind chimes. Oooh, turned over tricycles, that IS scary! Aiyeeeeee!

@Covewriter, if you scroll down on the link I posted, you can actually read it, the story is buried halfway down the page. Sorry!

@GG. I doubt that very much. I have yet to be published and have won exactly 0 awards or contests yet. I'm not really jealous though that was just me being silly. I actually get extremely happy and proud when fellow authors get accolades. Kudos G.G. Keep up the great work!

Congrats! That's a nice way to start things off. I felt like I won an award just to finally get someone to accept my work, but an award on top of it? That's a great foundation to build on!

@Covewriter. THANKS! And glad you joined the mailing list They are a great organization, top-notch, very supportive.

@JonnyGibbings. WHOA, that would be crazy/awesome/crazy. I think my head woud explode, or I would need to find bigger hats to wear. [I think there's a Peter Gabriel song about big, fat heads? LOL!]  BUT FIRST, I need to be a better writer. Always working on it; I still struggle so much. But your kind words mean a lot! <grins ear to ear>
