Shamelessly pilfered from Dwayne's last posting of this... which he took from whoever was doing it before him (I forget), and here we go!

How are you and yours doing (If you want/need to talk about your life use this question)?

What are you reading? How is it?

What are you writing, editing, etc? How is that going?

What uncommon writing tools, websites (besides Litreactor), and what not are you using? How/are they helping?

What other things/entertainment are you into? How are they?

Do you have any other creative projects?

Why aren't you getting more done (in general, not this very second)?

Is that just an excuse?

Really?

Anything you want to share?

Feel free to ask me a reasonable question(s), I just won't answer my own if you repeat them back or re-word them.

Can I add my own question at the top? Make it like a chain?

Biggest mistake you made last year?

How are you and yours doing (If you want/need to talk about your life use this question)?
Great/shitty. We had to say goodbye to our beloved kitty a couple weeks ago, and it's still a loss we're feeling. I still fill her water dish and talk to her :(

What are you reading? How is it?
I'm reading Yellow Birds by Kevin Powers. It's pretty good so far. It's simple in a way that I like. Not a ton of characters, not a huge setup, not relying on surprise.

What are you writing, editing, etc? How is that going?
I'm working on a book-length project I've been working on for a couple years. It's massive. I'm in a lull right now, but I'm getting very close to the end of the first draft. I've been writing it in 20-ish page chunks, so editing too.

What uncommon writing tools, websites (besides Litreactor), and what not are you using? How/are they helping?
The power button on my phone. It's my goal to use that quite often this year. It's helping because it's easy to use the phone to capitalize on little bits of time, but those little bits turn into long-ass stretches.

What other things/entertainment are you into? How are they?
30 for 30 podcast. It's great. I always like things that manage to entertain me and use great storytelling even though I have NO interest in the subject matter (in this case, sports).

Do you have any other creative projects?
Always! I have a rotating cast of projects. I started collecting patches when I went on vacation, so I've been attaching them all to a coat. It looks like a Nascar suit.

Why aren't you getting more done (in general, not this very second)?
I've been having some anxiety over the last couple years, so I've been trying to take more time to be unproductive and relax. I could probably do more, but I think that time is more important for me.

Is that just an excuse?
I don't think so. I don't think the other people in my life would say so.

Really?
Yeah. I'm generally a productive person. I don't spend a lot of time not producing.

How are you and yours doing (If you want/need to talk about your life use this question)? My cousin just got engaged, my uncle is still in the hospital, I am getting better from the flu.

What are you reading? How is it? Lots of Wearing the Cape stuff by Marion G. Harmon. I like it.

What are you writing, editing, etc? Not much. How is that going? That says it all.

What uncommon writing tools, websites (besides Litreactor), and what not are you using? Not much. How/are they helping? I guess, they aren't.

What other things/entertainment are you into? I'm watching a lot of Marvels stuff on Netflix. How are they? I dig, reviews aren't great.

Do you have any other creative projects? Not really. I work too much.

Why aren't you getting more done (in general, not this very second)? Work, been sick.

Is that just an excuse? No.

Really? Really, I wish.

Anything you want to share? I didn't just copy and paste these! I revised them.

Biggest mistake you made last year?  Temporarily giving up on writing after one too many submission rejections.

How are you and yours doing?  Great, my partner and I are expecting our first child :)

What are you reading? How is it?  James Kelman, he is the Scottish Irvine Welsh… wait a minute…

What are you writing, editing, etc? How is that going?  I’m caught between editing my current handful of short stories (I’m determined to get at least two of them published this year) and making a start on an idea for a novel that has been lingering around for quite some time (The scale of such a work, with the likelihood of no pay out, scares the shit of out me)

What uncommon writing tools, websites (besides Litreactor), and what not are you using? How/are they helping?  I write first drafts of stories on my phone. That way I dont get caught up in the whole ritual of sitting in a particular space at a particular computer, and I can write paragraphs, or even sentences, on the go (by on the go I mean on the toilet)

What other things/entertainment are you into? How are they?  Noodling around on the guitar pretending I’m Bert Jansch.

Do you have any other creative projects?  I've just mastered ‘Green Green Rocky Road’ by Dave Van Ronk.

Why aren't you getting more done (in general, not this very second)?  I need to put the guitar away for a start. But really I just need to write. Can’t begin to count the amount of hours I have spent thinking about writing, or reading about writing, instead of actually  writing.

Is that just an excuse?  Absolutely

Really?  I just need to write!!

How are you and yours doing (If you want/need to talk about your life use this question)? I'm just full of anxiety and hope and unsurety and fucked all around. SNAFU

What are you reading? How is it? Shadow of the Wind. It's good. Not sure it's edgy enough, but it has some good moments.

What are you writing, editing, etc? How is that going? Too much. In school. Too much going on.

What uncommon writing tools, websites (besides Litreactor), and what not are you using? How/are they helping? I use the Hemingway Editor. It's good just to see some problem spots.

What other things/entertainment are you into? How are they? Nothing, this is just my life.

Do you have any other creative projects? I started a new thing/relationship/thing, so that's a lot of finding creative ways to say, I like you.

Why aren't you getting more done (in general, not this very second)? I'm poor and that's really fucking with my mind. It's hard.

Is that just an excuse? No.

Really? Don't be a dick.

Anything you want to share? I now work at a bookstore. It's fun.

Feel free to ask me a reasonable question(s), I just won't answer my own if you repeat them back or re-word them. Nothing.

Biggest mistake you made last year?

Hoooly shit, if you only knew... I'm not even sure what takes the number one spot.
