I'm looking for a few beta readers for a novel manuscript. I've been posting bits of it in the Post a Paragraph thread for a while. It is a crime/literary novel sitting at around 60k words. Let me know if any of you are interested.
I'm looking for holes and things that do and don't work. I know spare time is hard to come by, but I can do the same in return.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi Devon
I am in exaclty the same boat as you! I have the time (and some editing experience). My own novel is nearing the end of itssecond draft. I'd like to straighten it out a bit before handing it over, but I'm game if you are.
My own genre is more on the psychological horror side, so not sure how well we fit...?
Anyway, let me know if you're interested!

I wouldn't mind read at all! I read all your paragraphs in the Post a Paragraph section the other day and posted you a note! I really enjoyed your paragraphs! I read a little of everything but I am writing Young Adult Dystopian. Don't know if you would be interested in Beta-ing that later on down the road or not?! I am about 1/3 of the way done! Lemme know!

Hey, I'm about at the stage I could use one/be one as well if anyone is interested.
What have you got Dwayne, as far as page count, genre, etc?
150 pages/31,500 words in my draft; another 1000 of outlining/edits to work in. Finishing up the last few bits today and Saturday, so I am guessing it will be a novella unless I have the most productive day of my life.
I'm not a 100% sure the genre. I wrote it in a way I was trying to be socially realistic without being a deconstruction focused on the motivation and options of a retired supervillain. The conflict is a monster named Slaughter has killed most other superhumans and threatens his retirement.
Working title of 'Villian.'
@ Dwayne I want to read that!
@dwayne, I've got Devons story now, but if you can wait until I finish his I would like to read for you.
@Kristi - That would be great.
@Dave - That works since I figure I'll won't even be ready until Sunday about 3 A.M. If you have anything long you need read I'd be happy to return the favor.
