Writer's Digest just put out its 101 Best Websites for Writers list, available in the May/June 2014 issue.

It is chock-full of incredible resources. Seriously. There are sites on there I visit on a regular basis.

Sadly, we didn't make the cut. Which, I can't lie, is a bit of a bummer. I believe very strongly in what we're doing here—if it wasn't for the community that sprung up around the Cult, and then around LitReactor, I would not be where I am. We may not be perfect, but we're all trying real damn hard to make this the best home for writers and readers on the web.

To be clear, I'm not angry. I don't think this was a slight, and I'm not coming from a place of bitterness—but I would like Writer's Digest to know about the community we've built here for next year's list. And at the bottom of the article, they welcome people to suggest sites that may have been overlooked.

I'm respectfully asking that you do just that.

It says you can e-mail writersdigest@fwmedia.com, with the subject line 101 Websites. Don't feel obligated, but if you're so inclined, I'd love it if you could drop them a line. Tell them about what LitReactor has meant for you, as a reader and a writer. What you've gained. What keeps you around.

Keep it light. Like I said, there's nothing to be angry about. I just want to make sure we're spreading the word at every opportunity. The bigger we get, the better we get. Huge things are happening. Chuck Palahniuk is teaching in a workshop right now, and the question-and-answer portion of it alone is killer.

Community elevates us.

Thanks.

Actually to me this site is one of the best. There was also another site that helps with the whole inner editor issue. It makes a great duo.^^

What are good ways to spread the word, without bugging the crap out people? Lol.

Dwayne, hope springs eternal, and I believe in the goodness of all people.

That said, it's still early in the day.

I'm still writing my manifesto. I'm currently on the chapter titled "The Place of LitReactor Within Definitional Proletarianism and Fundamental Problems Insuch."

But do you have a mailing address? I'm using Crayons for the writing and spaghetti sauce for the poetry. Also, there is a scratch-and-sniff.

Nathan, you should use alphabetti spaghetti for the poetry, that would be awesome :)

Aw man, if scratch n' sniff doesn't win them over - they clearly have no souls.

Done. Just fired off a quick email asking them why not include Litreactor next time.

Also mentioned Duotrope. I'm one of the many that was really irked when Duotrope starting charging but ... damnit, it's a good site. Half the places my writing got accepted with, were ones I found on Duotrope.

I sent an email in noting Duotrope and LitReactor, too. These two sites are the only writing and publishing sites that I check out every day, so well worth a mention!

They didn't include Duotrope either? I didn't join until after it went pay, but I think its worth every dollar.
