I'm waiting until I read THE SHINING because I never finished that book, but I have a lot of optimism about this sequel being one of my top King reads. I don't have the baggage of original King fans, I never had an appreciation for him until reading his later stuff, so I'm hoping that the horror in this new book is more on the elaborate emotional build ups rather than the terror-coaster ride of his classic horror. So I'm hoping the response is good for the book from older fans as well.

A pretty long interview with him. It's really good. I like what he says about Donna Tartt in it, though it makes me think about my own productivity in life in general.
