I got some email today that reminded me that I was a member of Lit. I don't even remember WHY I joined, but, hey, here I am.
I live in Vancouver, Washington (just over the river from Portland, Oregon), and have always been a writer, no matter what other day job I was perusing. Currently I'm re-inventing myself (version 4) as a communications strategist and writer (officially!).
When not doing the day-to-day business of surviving, I'm working on a transmedia project that I'd like to think will totally define the word for the next 100 years (65 of which will most likely be posthumous) but I do suspect it won't be quite that amazing.
My reading loves are John Irving, Christopher Moore, Stephen King, Carl Hiaasen, Douglas Noel Adams Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and Jenny McPhee.
I overuse parentheticals and the Oxford comma. I'm a bad proofreader but a great reader.
Hey, Charlie! Welcome!
I visited Vancouver in 2008 and loved it.
Also, there's no such thing as overusing the Oxford comma. There's just using it, and using it means you're doing it right.
Reinvention is always a noble endeavor, even if it's reinventing oneself from a soup kitchen director to a hobo killer.
Welcome!
The headline screamed 'SOUP KITCHEN DIRECTOR REVEALED AS HOBO KILLER'.
Welcome to the LitReactor, where your hobo writings dreams come, full of hope, only to be murdered by smiling folks in dirty white aprons.
I accidentally drove into Vancouver WA trying to get to Union station in Portland.
Welcome!
Welcome to the site, hope you are enjoying it.
