It occurs to me that we haven't made photo discussions around here yet. So I'm making the first one.
Let's see what you're up to, people!
I'm drinking coffee.
Ooooh LitReactor coffee mug!
Let's see if I can drag myself through the jetlag and get a picture of me drinking my 3rd glass of wine...4th glass? Well, I keep refilling it before it is empty so...
I want a coffee mug! When do I get it?
Ohh it's back. Okay, here we go:
When I was sporting the hippie hair.
My cousin had a baby and needed to re-organise her living situation.
So I have adopted a new friend.
Isn't she lovely?
Me with a giant penis in Berlin.
My glass of wine has nothing on the pussy and dick showing up in this thread.
This was on my birthday at work.
Yeeeahhh Avery I'm gonna need those TPS reports by 5 mmmkay. Mmmkay.
Do I look busy there? Or just unorganized?
I'd say you couldn't be too busy if you have desert on your desk.
So this came in the mail last week:
Oh, and it's signed!
@Avery. I have the exact same phone on my desk at work. Very interesting piece of trivia that.
Ha, I used to have that exact same phone at work.
@Kirk--what is that and where do I go to eat one?
Finally settled on an author photo for the book that actually represents my grin accurately.
@Kirk: Dude, that mug of coffee and that sandwich would make my morning. Well, that along with Brandon's signed Assassin of Secrets, Martin's cute pooty tat, Renee's glasses of rouge and Avery's Twix collection.
@Mutter: That is a big Schwanz. I want one for my lawn art collection.
@Phil: You handsome little bear, you. Is that in Switzerland?
Yep, I'm in Switzerland with the family for Christmas, then I visit Portugal for a couple weeks. And after that, back to the UK!
@Kirk: Aha! That is one thing you can't get from Amazon. Just kidding. That looks delicious. The bun almost looks like pretzel bread.
@Phil: The background gave it away. Lucky fucker. I was in Châtel for Christmas last year. Wish I was there. The best place on the planet for Christmas.
Have a good one.
I still need to make an "Eggie in a basket."
@phil--lol. You have the most mischevious (sp?) grin ever.
Hera got a holiday bandana.
@Kirk: I love those pretzel buns. Damn, that thing just got even tastier on my tongue's imagination.
@Nicholas: Dude, that picture is on acid. Reminds me of Bryan Howie's recent workshop submission.
I suppose I could have photoshopped the hellhound out of her eyes, she's really quite sweet.
The pride of my collection. First edition. A person that I knew well. I miss the man.
@Kirk--man, I have been planning a trip to IL for some years (stuff just keeps falling through) how far is that from Aurora/Chicago?
I can't see Nick's photo.
I love Phil's photos. They give him away--you can tell he's a big, goofy sweetheart.
Didn't upload it to a reliable place, hopefully photobucket isn't going to mess with it.
@Kirk, my main plan is for Chicago, but all my familial relations are in Aurora. I'm taking notes...the thought of fries in duck fat is making my mouth water.
@Nick--yay! I can see the dog now.
Phil, you should just send that picture out as your christmas cards. It kind of has that 'guy staring at me from across the bar' look. In a good way.
This is my Christmas card:
Christmas avatar. ^
Hahaha.
@brandon: I had never heard of that book that you received, signed, in the mail so I did a little research and I ran across this article:
http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/books/2011/11/q-r-markham-plagiari...
Just fascinating stuff, really. Now I'm sure you know all this already but I'm posting this for other people who maybe also haven't heard of this case.
By the way, that Lethem article linked within is also cool.
Right on Brandon. Thanks for the links. Not sure how I missed it Either way really cool signed book you got there.
Hahaha, that is a great Christmas photo!
My Christmas tree. I think it looks nice this year. Although perhaps a bit crooked. Merry Christmas!!
That's a damn fine looking tree. Nobel? Merry Christmas!
"Nobel"
Um...artificial. Thanks though!
Everybody's house looks the same. It's like Ikea and Pier 1 (1984 Version).
I'll post some cool christmas pictures soon. I still have a film camera so it will take me some days.
Jacks - I feel like you're secretly asking me to adopt you....
My head almost exploded when I saw Phil's picture next to Dakota's screenname. Seriously, it took me a good 30-45 seconds to figure out what the fuck was going on.
Fuck. Apparently it took me a few days. When I saw Dakota say he was using it as his avatar, I guess I thought it was Phil. The fact that I've seen Phil post on other threads without the avatar apparently escaped me.
I need a drink.
@Avery, our tree is crooked too, it's all the rage this season:
Play close attention to the Angel. From the right angle you can see up her dress.
Hah! those angels....
At least yours has presents! I have to keep all mine hidden in the closet.
Is that Santa made from a gourd?
