Hi,
I just signed up for MV's Zen workshop that starts in January.
I'm new here...sort of. Any old Culties might remember me as CP.net's webmook from way back. In fact, I wrangled a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff for the writers workshop at CP.net, which was the precursor to this site.
So...hello! I am an improviser and actor in Austin, TX, specializing in improvising full-length plays. So I'm very familiar with narrative structure and subtext, and I've been told I am decent at writing dialog. I wouldn't call myself a writer, but have had an interest in it for years and the pressure has built up more than I can stand. It's now or never.
Borges, Baer, Clevenger, Thompson (Hunter and Jim), McCarthy, Waits, Cave...just a handful of authors that get me going.
