I thought we needed another nonsense forum here, there just aren't enough.  The rules here are that you can say whatever you want without fear of judgment or being accused of racism. Just don't encourage Jessica.  LOL.  Merry Christmas Everyone!  Happy 2013!

In reality, she called herself a racist. I implied that it was incorrect and ignorant to refer to Elvis as an original force in rock and roll (rock and roll itself could be considered an inflammatory term given it was invented to recast R&B music for caucasians). I stand behind this. I never even disagreed with her that Elvis was an influence on the Beatles. I merely questioned the depth and dimensions of his influence overall. She and others reacted to what amounts to very little, and quite vague, stimuli from me.

I went on to write that she was in my opinion willfully ignorant for ignoring the contributions (well documented contributions) made to music by a rather large group of americans when she stated that "Before Elvis, there were not many (any?) white musicians singing that music." This view, as I wrote earlier, is basically stating that the only artists that have mattered in terms of the development of rock and roll were white. Granted this can be considered a harsh reading of her words, though not an outlandish one. The implication that said willful ignorance could be racially motivated has obviously carried over from her use of the word racist, coupled perhaps with aspects of another of my comments.  Again, I never once used the word racism or any derivatives.

I consider myself a Stones man to be honest.

I heard Elvis created music, before him, it didn't exist.  Without Elvis there would be no 2pac or NWA.  He also invented the toaster.  LONG LIVE THE KING OF RAP AND ROCK AND ROLL ELVIS PRESLEY!

Not enough people wear a big collar that well.

Star shaped studs/rhinestones should really make a comeback.

I love words. describing words, doing words yada yada. But some i find not insulting, but definitely irritating. A word that describes a particular sexuality for example. There are far too many when i think there aught to be none. homosexual, bisexual, asexual, etc... there are loads of them. I don't care what i am or anyone else is and i know what i like and what not. It's even asked on some job applications, like it really matters. If, i find myself sexually attracted to a guy... (most likely an androgynous one.) Its not gonna be a great revelation or something to panic over, so i don't care. And if asked what i am, I could tell them 'Go screw yourself, and find an adjective for that.' But thats not polite to strangers.

Then again, if you lose those words you'd have to lose bigot, rapist and all the other stuff. Then where would English speaking writers be? Which brings me full circle and back to the start again. To a time where i could've not said anything about it. So if you imagine i didn't and this was never here, and you could unread something or instead of continuing i stopped and deleted it all this....

...second. Where do we go from here?

I implied that it was incorrect and ignorant to refer to Elvis as an original force in rock and roll- While I agree that Elvis was not the ONLY force in Rock N Roll, I have to say that it's incorrect to say that he wasn't AN original force in Rock N Roll. I'm not Elvis fan, but I recognize that he helped shape just about anyone and everyone who's come after him. No Elvis, no Stones...

Yeah, still beating the dead horse...

Did anyone hear the story about McDonalds? I posted it on Facebook about how they were serving "pink slime", the excess cow meat drippings and injecting them as filler into burgers. I almost threw up. The sad part is in the Uk, it is illegal to make those drippings fit for human consumption, they are put in cat and dog food.

Mmmm, love me some pink cow slime.
I'm loving it...and by it, I mean the injected pink cow slime into my burger that is already cut with soy protein.
I found out how much food has soy protein as a filler, because my girlfriend has an allergy to it.
Funny thing is, if I eat soy protein, since hers is a protein based allergy, if she goes down on me, and happened to swallow, she would break out in hives and have a severe allergic reaction.
I'm no sure what would happen if I just blew an allergy load onto her face.
Classy man.

I got into a spiral. Its not cool, worse when i realise I'm doing it and cant straighten it out or stop. But, no harm no foul.

I don't eat from McDonalds, I knew people that worked there and heard what they spiked the food with.
Hairs, scabs... Actually, anything that came loose from their bodies. Absolutely gross.

Hell, who doesn't need to eat a scab now and then?  And McDonald's just announced they will no longer use the pink slime in their food.
