Greetings and salutations.  Like everyone here I want to be a writer.  I got 5 childrens stories I'm tweaking and I want to send to be published.  I expect the worse but hope for the best.

Any submission is a good submission, though I'm yet to practice what I preach. Good luck to you.

Thank you Sarah.  Yea for me it only took about ten years or so to get the guts to just go for it.

Welcome, interesting to have a children's writer around. Even though I'm sure we have quite a few I have to confess I've never really noticed many. Always promised myself I'd write a kids' story but every time I get an idea I just mess the kid up and get into his or her adulthood and hello usual-stuff-I-work-on. If you can help me break the habit the please do!

I'm not sure.  For me I'm just very immature.  I mean even before I had my kid I enjoyed watching pbs kids and Nick.  I always could relate to kids....

I have practice whenever I put mine down for the night either I read whatever book she picks or she asks me to make up something.  That might help.  Think of the audience you want to tell the story to.  Kids 8 and under it's fun but straight to the point type stories.  As they get older, you can tell the story more from an adults perspective talking to a child.  I guess one issue is it's easy to cary on with discription.  I ramble.
