I am just stopping in and saying howdy! A little about me:  I have finished two novels and, I am currently working on two others. One is a historical epic and another is dystopian. I don't like to limit myself so I don't have a specific genre of novel I write. Any tips, tricks, friend requests, advice, don't hesitate to darken my virtual doorstep.

Hola! Kudos for finishing two novels! Wow....barely know ya and I'm already a little envious....

Haha, well if it makes you feel any better, I got some serious writers block right now. It's almost as though my mind is scattered like light through a prism! So, I have a feeling some of you might be further along than me at this point.

I assume you read those two articles posted last week in the magazine content? Very good, and good timing too as I think these winter blahs contribute to the inability to work through writer's block as quickly as the rest of the year....

I have not, but I shall. It would explain some things, however, my WB is a little....different than most writers I know...actually I am the only person I have found who has it. That said- maybe the articles will help. C'est la vie I suppose.

Dave, this is what you do, isn't it.  You just lurk around with a creepy smug smirk so you can say "Welcome" to everybody that introduces themselves, and then you fade away, not to show again until you see a new, "Hi, I'm New!" thread.

@J. Dulouz, thanks man! Dave seems the same to me, then again, I just meet Dave, and by that I mean, virtually.

@Boone. My thought was:

Boone awoke from his raspy sleep. The taste of cigarette butts clung in his mouth like an old dishrag. He rolled to one side on his bare mattress attempting to shield his gaze from the sunlight and smashed the contents of a half eaten happy meal under him.

"Sanchez!" He yelled covering his eyes. No response.

"Sanchez, where's my smokes!" He'd hired the barely literate Bolivian prostitute to read him Tolstoy while he drunk two day old coffee . She had a taste for Ritz crackers and root beer but he'd didn't care, he never cared.

LOL - that's true, there is a story there and Matt, you're half-correct! (you told it much more romanticized, the way fiction oughta record reality)

(at any rate, much more interesting than me grinning or me looking seductively into the camera)

I hate this Romantic, sparkly vampire bull shit, but I will say, I have kind of gotten into True Blood. My only point of contention with that, those people have the worst fake accents, all of them seem to be trashy and I have never seen a town down South populated entirely by models....that said, it's good shit as far as Vampire stuff goes.

True story - my son's middle name is Edward.  He was named for my grandfather.  He was born in Sept of 2008.  The first Twilight movie came out later that year.  Sometimes I feel like I should apologize to him.  I didn't know.

I didn't know.

I am Mr. Edward Jacob Cullen.  We all just got married.

There is a lot of fangbanging and bestiality in our home.

We have three pet werewolves:  Sookie, Snookie and Eric Northman.

True Blood is a good gothic porno, that's about all it is.

Eric is pretty bad ass. Also, "Good gothic porno" couldn't have said it better.
