The post that described this horror competition went out of its way to say that non-workshop members' submissions would be accepted in a special section of the workshop page.

Not seein' it.

Am I missing something?

Just an FYI:

We should be launching tomorrow but, as seems to happen around here when we plan things, we always seem to forget to look at the calendar when we choose a date. This time, we didn't notice the 1st of July was a Sunday. So really, day-one will technically be Sunday and Monday. Monday is just an all-around better day for us to get people involved. Also, we aren't usually a "flip the switch at midnight" group, so don't freak out on me if you show up at 3am to post and don't see it up yet, please.

And as has already been mentioned, all members will be able to get involved. This is about having fun and big parties tend to be the most fun. This will be in a new section of the site, not the workshop and submissions will be treated a little differently. Again, it should be fun!

Lastly, during day-one (which as described above will be Sunday-Monday) I am going to randomly give out LitReactor mugs to a number of people who... Well, that's still a secret... So if you're still trying to get one, make sure you check in a few times. And of course, there will be a whole bunch of other neat happenings throughout the entire month.

Also, just a minor note, but I wouldn't use the word "competition" to describe this. We are specifically setting it so that most of the prizes can be won by anyone, not just "winners". What we're hoping for is that everyone has a good time writing, reading and meeting some new faces.

Sweet. I love it when losers win. At least that way I have a shot.

With ya Chesters! So that means I can just say "boo" and I may get a mug?

You'll have to say "boo" at least 1,500 times.
