I'm William. I want my writing to be stronger. I'm happy I found this place. That was my best Hemingway impression. Anyway, it's a thrill to be taking part in this and I hope to wring out every last drop of knowledge and experience this community has to offer because I can tell a lot of the people on here are a hell of a lot better at making the fictions than I am. I'll be busting my ass keeping up on here and working my day job at the warehouse but I've considered the alternative of returning to finish a degree in some business arena that would slowly wilt the soul right outta my head and decided to put that time and energy full throttle into making my writing publishable. Side note, I admire the business folks but, Christ, it's just not for me.
Some of the things I've enjoyed in this life are art house films, Bill Burr stand up shows, whisky, beer, books that light up new highways in the mind, fires in the backyard, teaching my kids how to make up long stories and helping them write little books, realizing my parents and their parents and so on were just as bewildered as I am at pretending to know what it's all about, finding solace in the steam that drifts off the surface of the coffee just before dawn, and learning how to write better every chance I get. Anyway, hope to meet a lot of you through this brilliant community. Now, go on. Get published.
