Hi everyone,

Just started here after being recommended it by a friend who new I was writing a book and said it was a good community. I'm Chris and I'm in the process of trying to get my book published called Owen and the Sky Giants.

Owen and the Sky Giants is a childrens' fantasy story which takes place on earth and the distant realm of Alta Giga.

I'm also a freelance illustrator  so I'm doing all the artwork for the book (If you like my illustrations and need some for your novel or project I'm always happy to do work so let me know!) As well as all that I produce a weekly digital comic, 31 Ways Out and have a blog called Lost in Guestopia.

It'd be great to meet fellow writers and people interested in my work as setting up a site for your own work is a quiet past time if you a new writer! I have a Facebook Fan Page and Website set up but I'll save all that for the Whorring section of the forum.

Take it easy and hope to chat to more budding writers!

Chris

Welcome to the site CG.  I see you are from the UK and since I have been studying your language I will attempt to write part of your introduction in your native tongue.  I am still on the beginner lessons so please don't judge if my sentence structure is a little off.

Or is that the native language of Texas? I always get those places confused.

Anyway, Matt will be by here in a little while to give you a personalized welcome picture.  After you receive this you should write a piece of flash fiction based on the photo, about 500 words, and dedicate it to Matt for the anthology we are putting together in his honor (no really, do this). Afterwords you will be forced to make a small sacrifice to him and answer his three riddles.  If you answer them correctly you win a prize.

That prize is the official welcome meme from the lovely and talented Avery. Once this is received you are officially one of us and can come to our team building exercises, you'll love Trust Fall Tuesdays.

Oh, I almost forgot, Howie is going to finger blast you for 27 minutes.

Keep on keepin' on,

Lotta newbs recently. It's no problem, I like it. But the insanity that comes with intro threads seems to be toning down...I'm not even sure if I should warn you of the insanity, because then what if it doesn't happen? I don't like letting people down.

Cool to meet everyone! Thanks for the feedback on the site Michael, it took a bit of work to get it working how I want it so I'm glad people like it. Does anyone have any recommendations for threads on LitReactor to help get your work noticed or to gain a loyal band of friends who will help get your work off the ground?

Again nice to meet you all

Chris
