My name is Jeremy Bustin, and I am a young writer...okay I don't know how much longer I can say that--I'm 30 years old now.

By day I'm a Public Relations Representative for the largest shipbuilder in the world--Newport News Shipbuilding. I spend time in my office writing speeches for executives and the president at the shipyard, as well as employee publications and copy for advertisements.

Having just completed my master's degree at GWU, I am ready to embark on the novel I have had in my head for five years. It's a psychological thrill-ride with a bit of dramatic-irony. The novel uses color as a literary device--the psychological moods associated with different colors.

I found this site through Chuck Palahniuk's page, and am excited to be here.

It has been a while since I actively participated on forums, so please forgive anything that contravenes any conventions or rules set on this forum.

Another avocation of mine is acting. I'm currently rehearsing for two musicals--1776 and Follies

My favorite writing tool is Scrivener, and I could never go back to using Word or Pages.

By 'hot chicks' do you mean a invite to a bear cave? Because that sounds like you.

Welcome, Jeremy! Newport News always makes me think of the Looney Tunes special where Bugs Bunny is stranded in Transylvania and stays at the vampire's castle. Probably because I've only ever heard of Newport News in that episode and I've seen it at least a dozen times.

Hi Jeremy. Welcome.

And thanks for turning me on to Scrivener. I'd never heard of it before and just now looked it up. Wow, that software looks helpful. I've paper notes all over the place. And different Word documents for my outlines and notes and such.

Yes Scrivener is amazing. However, I still have my old school tools like a white dry erase board above my writing desk.

Thank you everyone for the many warm welcomes.
