I've never actually started a thread on any sites I frequent, let enough alone and actual introduction, so please forgive me if I ramble or sound generally like a moron.

Anyway, I'm Angel, a 32 year-old lapsed writer. Having pretty much given up my dreams of becoming a man most people would hate to look intelligent or counter-cultural, I've recently found myself at a place where I deeply regret not pushing forward with this.

Obviously, I've created a laundry list of excuses NOT to write over the past decade:

  • I has a job!
  • I has a wife!
  • I has a kid!
  • I has no balls...

You know, is this a laundry list? What the hell is a laundry list, anyway? Is it, like, how you list out the colors or fabrics? I need to look into that one day.

Anyway, so I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to writing. Recently, a couple of things happened to push me away from that behavior, one positive and one negative. The positive being some inspiration from a friend who recently self-published a pretty outstanding zombie novella and the negative being a little storm called Sandy.

Not to toot my own horn, but I was directly impacted by the storm. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it was enough to realize that there's a lot of shit I put aside for no reason while a lot of useless shit became a priority. That's not the way I want my life to continue going, and while I entertain no delusion that I'll charge out the gates and be some literary giant, I'm tired of not putting the crap in my head on paper.

So, like I said, I rant.

Long story short, I look forward to getting to know some of you, read some work and participate in discussion. Hopefully, I'll be able to share something I write as well.

Be easy.

Heh, thanks for starting an alternate discussion that we don't have to share with the lamers who jump in on the bandwagon whenever they see a thread.  This seems like a good place read and write for awhile and then submit. It's only your ego. You have a child and you are married. You can take almost anything now.

Welcome. Check out the workshop, read and review and when you're ready, submit. Feel free to send me a PM when you do, I'll be glad to give you constructive criticism.

Hello and welcome. If it's balls you're looking for, this site will cultivate them for you, but you gotta lay 'em on the table first. Good writers, good feedback, good articles to be found. Look forward to seeing your work.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Looking forward to sharing work with all and giving my unrequested opinion on your own.

I promise not be a massive prick. Just the garden variety type.
