I don't particularly like to confine my writing to any specific genre. On of the reasons is because it kind of sounds cool to say I don't particularly like to confine my writing to any specific genre. There are probably other, possibly legit, reasons as well.
Another reason may be that I have a very poor understanding of what each genre really is. Bizzaro and Slipstream sound cool. And weird. Speculative sounds like the writer may be speculating. Subversive sounds, well, subversive? Unfortunately I have yet to gain better understanding via internet research.
Does anyone know of any good sites or articles that can help dumb this way down for me?
