@Joseph - i'm an AWESOME SHOT! i do shoot right-handed, though, i just learned that way. WHEN I WAS A KID. i shoot a rifle right-handed, too. and i know my arms and shoulders are tensed, but that comes with the awareness of being photographed and making the most of your arm muscles for the photograph so as to maximize arm-shapeliness - i'm kind of fixated on arms/hands.
@grig - put the hat in the box. or something shiny. not like balled-up gum wrapper shiny, like a windchime or a ruby or something.

Me 3! I bought the box set before the last film came out. I think Alcatraz is going for the same audience but it's all so laughable.
I hated the last movie. It felt so much like...here guys, we know you want to see them kiss - have at it. Throw away plotline.
But I still love watching the reruns that come on.
i'm the person that was like OH MY GOD! THEY'RE TOGETHER! IN THE SAME BED! and didn't give a shit about the rest of the movie. it was like a really long average episode. and i was like YEAH AMANDA PEET YOU BITCH FALLING TO YOUR DEATH THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WITH YOUR SUBTLE FLIRTY VIBE WITH MULDER YOU DESRVED THAT!

It was a long average episode. It was one of those in between episodes, you know? Where the week before they had some groundbreaking stuff that had to do with the plot. And then the next week they give you an out there sort of funny case to break it up. Like that.
And I agree - that's what she gets.
yeah, but not one of the really GOOD in-between episodes. like the vampire one with Luke Wilson. that was phenomenal.
Yes. I was thinking more like the hokey black and white one where they sang a Cher song at the end.
Post-Modern Prometheus. yeah, loved that one, too! all in black and white. seriously, the depths of my X-Files love knows no bounds.
Off the top of my head, my favorite episodes of x-files are Bad Blood (the Rashoman one [although, looking up rashomon, I see that it's actually the 'in the grove' one]), The Post-Modern Prometheus, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, War of the Coprophages, Jose Chung's From Outer Space, and Humbug (looked this up just now, and those last four are all by the same writer. Darin Morgan is just brilliant. I hope he makes more stuff like those 4 episodes).
Everything through season 5 is pretty outstanding. I guess I stopped watching very often after season 5. Every stand-alone monster of the week episode is great, but I didn't care for many of the 'main storyline' episodes.
I say, 'off the top of my head' but I had to look up the names of the episodes. Shit, there are a lot more that are great....
I quite liked the majority of the myth-arc stuff. It wavered, and was dragged out a little too long in my opinion, but overall I enjoyed those episodes.
The monster-of-the-week stuff was very hit and miss. Some wonderful, some dogshit awful.
seasons 3, 4 and 5 were probably the best. i CRIED during Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose.
i followed it all the way through, realized how truly i hate David Duchovny and love Mulder and how disturbingly seperate i keep them in my head when he left. i was so pissed at him. Gillian Andersen still had 2 yrs on her contract, she had to ride it out. not that Robert Patrck was horrible, just not Mlder. the last few episodes were good, though - right back to the beginning with the rain and the hotel room and all that. i cried then too.
i never realized what a big baby i was about that show.
I've got to hit the library and dig up a season or two of X-Files. It's been ages. Though now that I've seen Californication, I probably won't look at Mulder and Sculley the same way.
i don't watch Californication - i watched one episode and was sooooo confused and disturbed by Mulder's behavior i swore off it. it was fucking with my memories of him. he has the whole left wing of my spank bank.
Californication is really good. Love the fucked up relationship dynamic in it. Makes me feel totally normal.
i've heard nothing but good thngs, but... it's not Mulder. i think it's David Duchovny playing David Duchovny...

I liked him in Kalifornia. I think that's one of Brad Pitt's best movie, too (only because he didn't have a bigger part in True Romance - so, probably 12 Monkeys is the best).
i met a friend's girlfriend from... Latvia? i think Latvia - and she was so excited to see Kalifornia because she'd heard sooooo much about Brad Pitt being the hottest thing ever. needless to say she was confused. and a bit horrified.
Kalifornia was pre-Mulder so for some weird reason it doesn't interfere in my head. but yeah, Kalifornia. and i loooove True Romance. incredible ensemble cast. that's one of those that you can never watch too much.

My favorite X Files was always the one with Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black and Giovanni was that crazy kid who could control electricity and Hey Man Nice Shot played all over it. This was before anyone but me knew who they were, those 2.

remember the one with ryan reynolds? he just had a teeny piece at the beginning, it was about the highschool girls/witches, one of them was Lori for That 70's Show. ryan reynolds hung himself at the beginning.
that one was cool, mulder drank a lot, they were both kind of loosening up.
and Dreamland 1&2. forever happy with that one.

What have you tried?
i can't do sleeping pills, now i'm off nyquil and cold medicines. physical exhaustion doesn't work. it's a cycle - i sleep well for two or three weeks, then just don't for a few months. i'll be on 3-4 hours a night until sometime this summer, probably. in a few weeks i'll hit some sort of adjustment phase and stop feeling so insane. if i don't give in and go back to the nyquil before then.
Hmmm... I'm stumped. All I can think of is horribly inappropriate remarks. Have you tried tweaking your diet?

Also I take old school sleeping pills because the newer pills make me hallucinate more than normal and I end up doing stuff like looking for my guitar tuner in the carpet like its a crack rock or something and there was this one time I took a shower with my clothes on. God that night it took forever to tune my guitar. Almost as long as restringing my acoustic on acid. Sure it sounds all fun but geez when a girl wants sleep she wants sleep!
Anyhow I take temazepam every so often but usually just take trader joes chewable melatonin an hour before I want to sleep and it can really help but not always. But it's cheap and it tastes good and works better than the other brands I've tried. I usually take two.

Melatonin gave me bad dreams. Valerian worked pretty well though. Now i fall asleep pretty quickly without anything, the problem is staying asleep. I've had trouble with sleep my whole life i guess.
Valerian root is good. I use it a lot.
