This is like asking someone to vote for either God or Jesus, or a third party Buddah. it's like saying vote for Hemingway or Fitzgerald, like asking if Bannanas Flamba is the winner over Warm Chocolate brownies, a glass of port or Baileys Irish Cream. These things are all too good to be put to a vote and potentially be ruled out. Same with our Defenders.

@Cove - Depending on one's religious views Jesus is God (like mine), so are you saying Utah and Avery are the same person under two different profiles? Because if true that is so sad it is awesome.
@Sparrow - Hating the poor is only the first step on path to dark power, but welcome to the journey. First you must worship the Dollar Gods above all, while saying that you are a Christian. Second you must fill your heart with hate; for each and every group that is not native born wasp American. You must do this for each separate group; simply hating the as a collective is not enough. This will lead you to oppression, which will lead you to wanting to destroy the government which protects all the innocent so we can have even more executions, which leads to deciding that pregnancy is the just punishment for the foulness of sex and allowing it to happen will anger the Dollar Gods!

That seems like a lot of work. I think I'll stay registered under the onomatopoeia "Pbhht!" (yes, that's really the "party" I am registered under, since I was 19).

You should register "Pbhht!" there are two or three of us and our platform is we have no platform. We have no candidates either. We vote for who we want and what we want, as individuals. It's beautiful, really.

I'm sorry, but if there is a "new" defender, doesn't that mean I get fired/demoted or something?
Sorry, I didn't this earlier. This is totally unofficial, and knowing you, you'll be Defender of the People for the rest of your life on LitReactor. I believe it.

I think Dan Brown is okay. The same way I think that a McDonald's cheeseburger is okay. It just shocks me that people brag about reading him like they've done something major.

@Avery - Thank you.
@Utah - Thanks. Writers I've meet/e-meet tend to be touchy and diplomacy isn't my strong point, but it might have more to do with me being a better frame of mind then when I was first on here. My grandmother who I was fairly close to and step-dad who raised me since I was about 11 died 6 weeks apart right before I joined (was part of the reason I did as matter of fact), I was working 64 hour weeks, and Ma was a mess since she lost her mother and husband in less then two months. But life goes on so I feel better and I'm a little more willing to rephrase things so people won't be so upset.

Yeah, but it put me in a good frame of mind to write my memoir about my dad's death/relationship with me. Also got me active in going after the things I want instead of just taking up space, so not worth two people dying, but wasn't all bad.
If I still love them after that realization...does that make me a Republican?
Yes. Yes, it does.
Hey I'm on a poll. Just like Romney.
Mrs Stark, welcome to my world.

I kind of want to go have dessert and drinks with Covewriter now.

The sad part is how many people find out I'm a Republican and then ask questions that seem to be based on the idea the above is the platform.

So you're telling me I can't be part of an organized group? OPPRESSOR!
Sorry, I didn't this earlier. This is totally unofficial, and knowing you, you'll be Defender of the People for the rest of your life on LitReactor. I believe it.
No.
I voted for Romney.
No, I was inviting you to be a part of my organized group.
Can I join your organized group of oppressors?
I was thinking about the Albert Brooks scene in Drive where he flips off Cranston and utters "Pbhht!"
Which is how I reply to people when they talk about Dan Brown.

Dwayne - that was a good comment and I approve of it. This doesn't happen much, so I thought I would let you know.
Actually, now that I've gotten to e-know him a bit better, I think Dwayne's comments are more perceptive and intelligent than many on this site.
Not bad, for a dog with Asperger's.
In the thread where we describe each other (where was that? the official introduction to lit reactor?), that should be the description of Dwayne.
Hey... I'm Batman.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
@Avery - Thank you.

God damn, Dwayne. That sucks.
