This may be going out to the wrong crowd, but I notice a lot of you are from Oregon and I wonder if any of you are taking or have heard about comic author Brian Michael Bendis teaching a class on intro to comics writing. There aren't a lot of resources I've found for writing comics, and in addition to my short story work, I've been tossing around a few ideas for comics lately.

I'm a big fan of his.  Huge.  I got his entire Ultimate Spider-Man run and am currently getting into his new project Brilliant.  I still need to check out his other stuff like Powers and his noir graphic novels like Torso.

So no.  Not the wrong crowd at all.

I actually heard about his class on Facebook...and I remain jealous of anyone who gets to learn from this guy.  Great writer.

I plan on reaching out to him soon, so maybe we can get him to do an interview or something and address the difference between writing comics and literature.

Check out BMB's wordballon podcasts with John Suntress (spelling?) You can download them on iTunes. he discusses his process teaching at length and also answers a number of listener questions.

Check out the shownotes of their interviews to find those episodes in which they discuss his teaching (I think they were approximately a year ago, souldnt be too hard to find considering BMB is only a guest every 6 months or so)

BTW - Thanks for the user review!
