Hi,

just wondering if anybody has had any experience with Booktrope good or bad?

Also, I was just visiting perfectedgebooks.com and they looked very interesting, a lot to read. I'm going to visit and read some more. Anyone ever published anything via Perfect Edge Books??

Thanks,

M.

My last novel was through Perfect Edge. I'd publish elsewhere if I were you.

Damn, really? Thanks for telling me Brandon. I guess I'll skip them.

I did note that they were saying something about giving them money to edit or market or something ...?

I'm sorry they didn't work for you. It's sad how predatory the literary art world is.

BTW, your wordpress site is awesome Brandon. Gawd, I wish I had something even half as polished.

One guy on the label (I won't name names) had it in his contract that he had to sell 1,000 copies of his book or something like that before they would start paying him royalties. Also, the label charges a substantial fee to the author for e-book formatting and conversion. They don't tell you how much the fee is; you end up finding out after the fact and it's at least a few hundred dollars. Those are just two things...so yeah, I'd pass on them.

^^Thanks!
