ITT: Celebrity crushes.
For me, Gerard Way, Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, Taylor Momsen.

Celebrity crushes.
For me, Gerard Way,
Seriously? Tut tut. That guy annoys me. Heh.
I'm not sure I have a celebrity crush right now. I don't watch a lot of TV or many movies.
So my grandma is recovering from breast cancer surgery, my grandma is in physical rehab for a broken hip, my dad crashed his motorcycle so he also has a broken hip. I think my family is cursed. Sorry thats a total bummer post.
Damn, that sucks. Though if we are to believe that bad things come in threes then you are safe for the time being, right?

Rule number one for killing zombies: knives don't need reloading. A machete is a nice choice. I would have to choose a katana.
I'm sorry to hear that man, I hope she is okay. Damn this thread became depressing pretty fast, my bad. I'll pick it up again.
{Edit}
Yeah lets get away from the downers.
Zombie killing? Gotta have range for me. I don't like the idea of getting that close - one slip and they've got you.
Which is why England would be torn apart by a zombie outbreak. No guns. Probably I'd have to make do with a crossbow.
[redacted]
I think that a spear would be the ideal zombie weapon with its range and brain destruction capabilities. Just thrust at the head.
I don't know if there is one do-all zombie killing weapon. An AK with a 100 round drum would be nice. A flame thrower would do in a pinch. If all else fails ... I'll just use my mother-in-law for a shield.
edit: BTW ... an AK with (3) 100 round drum magazines, red dot sight, sure fire flashlight and green laser is my actual zombie killing, SHTF weapon of choice. It sits beside my bed at night with a 30 round mag ready to rock. Yes, I sleep well.
Nah... explosive arrow heads. good for range or close up, and guarantees brain destruction of said zombie.
Speaking of zombies in England, 28 Days Later is on sale at Best Buy. Love that movie. How is it that Cillian Murphy looks creepy even playing the good guy?! Oh, and Danny Boyle is a genius.
AK will run out of ammo, flamethrower is a giant flaming mess waiting to happen, explosive arrows seem hard to get hold of. These are all fine if you're defending a castle from zombies, but I don't think we're all so fortunate. Quiet, reuseable weapons are going to be the way to go. Resource management is the key to winning this thing.

This thread makes me want to play Fallout 3 for some reason. Not really any zombies in there, just ghouls and mutants.
oooh... I like the 50 Cal. Damn that thing is huge!!! Bad ass BFG is bad ass!
I don't play video games, but I want to rewatch all of the Resident Evil movies now... They're filming the new one in town. I can't wait to stalk the filmsets :P They used the school library a few blocks from me as the prison in the last one. Appropriate huh?
Danny Boyle is genius, especially for Trainspotting as well.
Indeed. That was a great adaptation. Like Fight Club. Isn't it great when the right director is given the screenplay. You only have to look at how poor the Choke or Acid House adaptations were to see how lucky we were to have those two great movies.
Ewan McGregor was hilarious as a heroin addict. Makes me wish he'd kept it up. Imagine Obi Wan on smack - now that would have improved the new Star Wars trilogy.
Edit - Resi Evil movies are awful. Just saying.
Oh yes, and Requiem for a dream. man that movie is trippy!
And I don't care how awful RE movies are... as long as they have zombies! You don't seriously expect me to watch for plot, do you??

I don't even know what Silence Of The Lambs is about. I just know there's a creepy guy who says hello to Clarice.
I've always wanted to read the book, but just never got around to it.
[redacted]
It's not a bad book either. I have a soft spot for that series.
So this is making me think about Hannibal Lecter in a zombie apocalypse...I think I might have a possible summer blockbuster brewing here.
so... Hannibal Lecter vs Zombies... see who eats more brain??
Change of subject in 1, 2, 3...
Firstees to say "lamas".
... LLAMA!!! --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbPDKHXWlLQ
Wow Eric, that is disturbing.
No. This is dumby.
favorite promotional food item that has since been discontinued and makes you sad---go!
red bull cola

Oh Pepsi Blue. I had a really weird spice note to it; not like how Red Bull Cola tasted like everything in my spice rack in liquid form. I was kind of a fan of Pepsi Blue, too.
You know what tastes awesome? Honey milk tea. From Quicky's, if ya'll have one in your area.
Sometimes they play Korean pop music videos, too. Those are always fun.
But the best beverage of all time is home-brewed coffee. Mmm. Especially with beans bought from your favorite cafe. Oh yes. Coffee. I miss it. See, I can't have coffee for a month. Doctor's orders. Does he not understand what this has done to me? for the first week I felt like House whenever they take his painkillers away. Migraines, day and night, migraines not even Excedrin could calm. And the craving, oh, that never goes away. Coffee. Ugh. But I must stay strong, avoid the stuff at all costs.
Must. Stay. Strong.
...I never tried Pepsi blue. Did it taste like the color blue?

My boots. My boots from a year ago. These boots don't do well in the rain. There are to many little holes in them.
I used to wear Converse religiously, but the rain in the city doesn't do well on the sidewalk, and Chucks aren't that great at keeping you vertical on slick floors. But I'd love to get a pair of red ones. Maybe a long brown coat, too. I can run around fixing things and asking hot people if they want to see some planets with me.
I suppose I'm wearing proper things at the moment, though. It's laundry day, so my clothes are at the line where they're okay to wear, but they'd be better as pajamas.
wearing a pair of old pumas for now. but I <3 chucks in the summer. I like the way you think missK!!
and I could use a refill on my caffeine. I ran out about an hour ago. Why am I not at home so I can make more?!
As a side note, I really, really want the interrobang (aka quesclamation mark) to be an official punctuation.

Yeah. I hear that. Last time I went for a few days without caffeine my head was pounding non-stop. I work too many nights, have become a bit of a coffee junkie. You know it's bad when you wake up and have to put the kettle on before even go take a piss or put trousers on.

Ha! Yeah I saw that on QI. Brilliant. They should bring it back.
Also, I am glad I can say the previous morbid posts I made at the start of this thread are no longer relevant. Serious some people should never drink alcohol. Ever. Ah well, no more than pride wounded in the end. In this instance anyway.
Hey, wickedvoodoo -- have you heard from your friend yet? Now I'm fretting all ineffectual-like from over here in Texas.
Also, today I learned how to make a Zoidberg emoticon.
(V) (;,,;) (V) Why not Zoidberg?
Yeah thats what I meant above. She was staying with an old friend who let her stay there and ignore everyone for a while. Ran off from her boyfriend (now ex it seems, rather a good thing, he's a dick) when she was drunk out of her skull. She lost it a bit apparently. Hit him with a wine bottle.
Long termI think it may actually turn out a good move though. Long term. Weird world aint it.

@Jenny SCORE! That's awesome! :D
You said Minecraft. I got the urge to chase some cows around with a pickaxe.
Minecraft and anything like it is the biggest distraction I have when it comes to I-should-be-writing time. At the same time, playing Minecraft is inspiring because I have such an epic story unfolding for my wee boxy avatar fellow. He's horrible at directions, you see, and whenever he leaves home to scavenge for materials, he gets lost. Days are spent out in the wild, hiding in little caves made of mud, discovering mines and the monsters inside them... then I do something that makes him die and respawn at his home, and I lose all the goods I mined, and I sit there and think, "what's the point of living?"
Then I send him out to do a bit of mining again.
A vicious cycle.
Never heard of the previous time-wasters, but the pixelated nature of them made me think about my previous biggest time wasters: Space Quest and Leisure Suit Larry.
Anyone ever played? I wish I could find an online version. Or a fucking dinasour of a PC with a floppy drive running DOS.
That game was fucking hilarious. Plus, when I played it at 12, it was the most eye-opening thing I had ever experienced.
This was before internet porn, obviously.
So should I disclaimer this with the fact that I'm 30 and haven't played it in a decade and half? Maybe.
Ha. Can't be having you feel alone. That just isn't cricket.
What fucked up our innocence eh? I guess a staple diet of horror movies and fantasy/wargaming stuff in my early teens opened up my eyes to the world of blood, gore, and all things creepy. I used to help out in a video store after school sometimes and had free reign of the scary movies.
Then you can combo that with living in a town where it seems like everyone has a budding drug problem. Seriously there was a time when almost everyone I know was into it, it got pretty bad when I was about sixteen or seventeen, with the speed and pills that seemed to be everywhere. Not particularly proud of some of the shit we got up to. Thankfully I'm a lot more sensible with all that nowadays, haven't taken any class A's in a few years. Getting out of town and moving to the city for uni for a while was a saving grace.
Also I have ex-hippie parents who are so liberal as to be a bit useless sometimes. Heh. Didn't help.
It's really no wonder I ended up a cynical, black-hearted shithead. Ironically, 'dark' books and fiction is one thing that I got into kind of late, though it seems there's plenty of stuff out there perfectly suited to my tastes and that has become my new source of much-needed depravity.
Innocence is overated anyway.
