This thread is for those days when nothing is working and you are frustrated and angry. The writer's block has taken over and you want to burn all your autographed copies of whatever author you love. Here's a virtual hug. I promise not to hump your leg unless you are into that.

I needed to see a thread like this. I don't want to spam up the forum bitching about all my problems though. Free hugs from me as well just because I love you guys. Just don't pop a chubby on me... :D

Honestly, I SO don't want to be a girl about it, but that is really nice.  I'm having one of THOSE writing days.  It's nice to know I'm not alone here.

I need a hug.

This week has been surreal. Up until yesterday I felt as if I was the main character in a short story Shyamalan wrote when he was in the fifth grade.
A perfectly healthy rat of mine died suddenly, and my imagination has painted it to be such a traumatic, violent thing that I've had nightmares about it. I've suffered the loss of previous ratties, but none as bizarre as little Dwight's.
The timing of this whole situation has been horrible. His death came as a shock, especially since I was expecting an older, sicker rat of mine to pass first. I've been expecting the old one to die any day now, so Dwight's death was... well, a twist.

I've been animating a zombie for work, too, and it was only supposed to take six hours, but it's taken twelve and I'm expecting to be scolded for it. And what stinks is I deserve to be scolded. I couldn't figure out why my zombie shamble looked more like a homeless hobble and less like a brain-starved stumble.

And I'm concerned about the futures of my remaining two rats.

And I haven't written a single line of fiction since Sunday night.

This week hasn't been horrible. But it certainly has been... surreal.

I work at a game company. Not for consoles, just cute little games.
I actually feel a lot better now. Mostly because of that writer battle thread going on. It makes me laugh and reminds me why I love this place!

Anyone under pressure to finish a book before someone dies?  That kind of sucks.  And I'm trying to get hired at a bookstore, without losing my primary job.  Money is always an issue, I seem to be recessing right along with the recession...I have to manage to scrape some creativity out of this miasma.

Thanks for the lit hug.  :)  I don't care if you pop wood.  I'm flattered. ^_^

Hugs back to all your lit nerds. :3

Guys and Gals, I would email every one of you a hug, but gmail says it takes up too much space to upload.

It was gonna be a big hug, I'll try to .zip it up and torrent it to you later.

What a nice thread! Real life is getting me down and is taking my writing down with it, so yeah, I can definitely use a hug. And here's a hug in return for anyone who needs it.

@misskokamon: Sorry about your rat. Here's an extra hug for sympathy.
