Seriously though, I'm not that bad. At least not for a while. People can usually stand me for about 3 or 4 months or so... somethin like that
Anyway, I guess I should introduce myself. I've been writing for a while now, but I can't seem to finish anything lately. I usually write short stories, but I'm trying to write an actual novel. My problem is, I have so many ideas that I don't know where to begin, so I just end up feeling overwhelmed. Trying to find time, and when do. The willpower to get something done.
Im gonna check this place out. Hopefully I can find some inspiration
Welcome. Check out the craft essays for some inspiration. Neil Gaiman has good advice on this: Finish things. Set yourself up to start an idea and see it through.
Howdy from outside of Tulsa, OK. I've written my entire life but only recently started focusing on creative writing. I've put my skills to more "practical" work like earning a living as a grant writer and evaluator (writing a LOT of proposals and reports). I've been taking creative nonfiction (CNF) classes through UCLA Extension and am working on a memoir and several essays. I look forward to connecting with other writers here!
