Hi everyone!

Just heard about LitReactor through a friend/colleague at work today. He recommended me to your site.

Anyway, just to say it's nice to be here and looking forward to meeting you all (in writing, that is!).

Regards

Alan

Good luck here, don't let the weirdos scare you off. If it gets too smug in here, keep telling yourself: "It is just a fiction writing community. It is just a fiction writing community. It is just a fiction writing community."

If you say it three times in a row in the bathroom, looking in the mirror, with the lights out, then a fiction writing community will come out of that mirror. Is that a good or a bad thing? What happens next? You get to decide.

Welcome, and Good Luck.

Sean is wrong. Non fiction writers are welcome.

Welcome.

I'd offer you a hot beverage but everytime I try to send it via email, I have to buy a new laptop. As Sean mentioned, we are all smug as hell in here, so if you ever need some fresh air or just a break from the asylum, day passes can be applied for a week in advance.

Seriously, though, this place is great on many levels. Even the mods/admin have their shiny moments, though I'm disappointed that Avery hasn't given you your badge (or whatever it might actually be called) yet. She gave me mine in my own intro thread ages ago, but I think I had to beg for it, or at least grovel for the right privilege of having it. If you're above begging, or cannot afford to beg, one will be appointed to you by the court. Do you understand these rights?

@Strange - The question is 'Do you understand these rights as I have explained them to you?"

@AGF - I'm not a 100% sure if it will help you, but I've had luck with avoiding double posts by using Google Chrome and just letting it take the silly long amount of time it needs to post it. Also welcome. What do you tend to write?

Welcome, Alan! I visited Edinburgh a few years ago and loved it. I probably rolled straight through Penicuik on the train from London.

Greetings,

I live in Austin, Texas and wonder if there are any people in forming a  new comedy writing group.

Hi Barb

Comedy's not really my thing, I am more into the horror genre.
