I'm glad you think it was that good. I'll go post a thread with it in it. That way, anyone can copy and paste the link on introduction threads and whenever they see a new member crop up.

You have it broke up into sections well enough that it doesn't come across as a wall of text.  Just keep headings and such so that it doesn't look like a wall.  You did a good job of formatting it, show it off.

Also, if they are afraid of words... well... this might be the wrong place to hang out.

Can't you edit the first post to have the .doc instead of the .docx?

I'd settle for it at least being pinned, but I do think something along these lines should be required or somehow related to new members. Also, does making something "private" mean only forum members or only workshop members can view it? If it's the latter, it might be more effective to lock it, but I also want lurkers to see it.

It should be public and required reading.

Shit, if I knew how to shut up, I would probably be a much happier person.  Unfortunately, I'm not very good at shutting up.  I'm not overly verbose and I don't resort to sesquipedalian style debate to make my point, but I can't help but keep rambling when I feel like I have nothing to say.  It's almost debilitating when my mind and brain start running on their own and sometimes they don't even agree.  Sometimes I'll start saying things I'm not thinking.  Usually they are lies that just come out and I'm thinking, "That's not true!  Where did that come from?" but my mouth just keeps on going.  

I noticed today that when I'm getting tired, sometimes my internal monologue turns into a dialogue and I'll say things to myself like, "Seriously," or "Honestly," or "In fact," as if I'm trying to convince myself of the things I'm thinking.  Is that strange?  Because it seemed strange to me that I might actually not believe the things I'm thinking.

Not like a "I have a tin-foil hat/aliens are inserting thoughts in my brain"-type of problem, but still... it's kind of weird not to trust yourself to tell the truth to yourself in thoughts. 

I guess all of us lie to ourselves about the world and how we fit into it - but that's just egocentric perception and rationalization.  Maybe everyone doubts the lies they are telling themselves... but I wasn't thinking about some complex ethical issue.  I think I was thinking about dirt.

Which is an interesting subject in and of itself.  Did you know that you get tetanus from dirt?  Yeah, it's not the rusty nail or barbed-wire fence that gives you tetanus.  It's the bacteria in the dirt.  Well, a specific bacteria.  Then you get lockjaw and other muscle spasms.

What were we talking about?

Wait, it's weird to have an inner dialogue like that? This is a literal train of thought for me: "okay now I'm writing and then shit no wait I have to take my nail polish off fuck that fucking hurts wait okay fuck what was I doing okay fuck no and then wait no and then." 

At least one person reviewed my story, yay?

I really considered waiting to post my latest submission until we'd cleared the way for these guys, but mine's up. I'm going to add a note in it, though, asking that anyone getting ready to review mine considers reviewing one of the others first. I just want it out of my hair for a while, and submitting it here seems like the best way to take the pressure off of me.
