Me vs Tucson - to post in the next few days. (Spiderclown prompt)
Holly vs Sound - to post (next?) Sunday. (McQueen prompt)
Nathan vs Sound - to post at a future date to be determined. (Bloody girl prompt)
If I'm mistaken, please correct me. If you're not on the list, you can be put on the list by challenging someone. It's fun. All the cool kids are doing it.

We've had three battles completed so far, and another three are on the horizon or in limbo. I'm pleasantly surprised to see this getting some momentum, but I'd also encourage more/different people to get involved in this fun, generative activity. If you need more short stories for a collection, this is a good way to generate material. If you want to shake the rust off your dormant writing mind, this is a good way to get back into the gym of creativity. If you just want to fuck around with a bunch of cool people and see what you can come up with, this is a good way to get to know your fellow LR members without the antiseptic "greetings" and lurking on threads for months.
Lit battles are for the bold, the beautiful, the bloated, the bulemic, the Bolivian, the bastards, the brain surgeons, the banditos, the Best Buy cashiers, the bourgeoisie, the bonobos, and the rest of us who want to have fun, write stuff, and see what happens next.
Get in there, folks!!!

Hey Jimothy, thanks for the offer!
It's kind of a self-guided missile, and I just try to keep everyone on the same page as far as time frames, prompts and the like. The way we've been doing it with posting is to post the stories in a poll thread here in the discussions forum. Both stories are posted without names or identifying info, so people reading can do their best at being impartial. We shied away from posting in workshop because that limited participation on both competitors and readers/voters.
If you ever feel like jumping into a battle, go for it! Even if you have no one specific you want to challenge, you can just ask someone to go and I imagine somebody will take you up on it PDQ.
Nathan Scalia
