To be released 1st July 2012, in PDF E-book format, absolutely free!
Nova Parade is a festival of theatrics. An offering to two of the great powers of art, tragedy and comedy. This anthology is a twisted helix of stories that will lead you on a journey through many strange landscapes. It will introduce you to characters you will adore, and to characters that will appall you.
These are stories to be read beneath a dying sun.
There are ghosts. Monsters. There are jesters and there are nightmares.
There’s sex, drugs, and there’s violence.
Horror and hilarity, bizarro and sci-fi and all kinds of trangressive voodoo. There’s a whole lot of great fun. This collection will wound you, but hey, then it will make you laugh. It’s a NOVA PARADE, BABY!
Let’s ride this carnival all the way to the sun.
Let’s kill the bastard!

Awesome! Lots of familiar names!
Any plans on making it a free book on amazon or something like that?
And also, this looks awesome.
Hooray!
Yes.
@Bryan: Absolutely. Will be available in Kindle in the not too distant future. We're kicking off the party with the free PDF first, which will include the great links for each author's work, be it places to purchase books and stories, home sites, all the goods. Then a few weeks after we'll release in other digital formats, and yeah through Kindle on Amazon. Free.
@SparrowStark: Definitely. Some authors appearing are LitReactor members who have been doing some serious damage as of late, and we're extremely excited and proud to see they showed up for the party. I mean the TOC is right there for everyone to see, but there's Horror's New Baddie On The Block—W.P. Johnson, Chester Alabaster Pane, and LitReactor's WAR King, Rebecca Jones-Howe—just to point out a very few.
Hot stuff for sure. It's on July 1st!!
That is very cool :)
Awesome.
Every time I get published in a book, I'm getting a tattoo of a different alphabet. So far, I only have the nordic runes around my bicep. I want more. Next up is probably the alphabet, but the version you learn to type:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
or
@howie - That's cool, I like that alphabet idea better than any quote I've seen as a tattoo, even quotes I like. The Greek alphabet is a beautiful thing.
Brothers from another page number.
Brilliant. Biased I am.
Kindle Kindle Kindle Kindle ... ;-p
pushy little tart, aren't I?
Count me in. That description sold me, and I'd love to read some published material from LitReactor folks.
I realize that 98% of you already know this, but....
"Jessica Taylor"
^^ that's me ^^
Kindle kindle kindle. Kindle Fire?
jumblies jumblies jumblies ... Kindle Kindle Kindle ...
Oh, yeah. Totally jumblies before kindle. Good call, Nikki.
Fire!
I realize that 98% of you already know this, but....
The 2% that includes me thanks you.
And I'm W. P. Johnson, for all of you that just call me "typo".
You mean 'typo' is just a 'typo'? Now I'm all confused.
Martin and Nathan, be sure to link this in my bio: https://www.createspace.com/3903287
So we're linking to published work in addition to just our websites?
We are linking to Jumblies and Plethoras.
A jumbplethora!
Regarding Kindle talk.
Since this is a PDF. you guys can convert the PDF into a mobi. for your kindle with MobiPocket creator. I think it's free but if not you can always pirate it.
I'm sure most of you guys know this but if you don't PM if you have any questions.
Actually a Word file is best to convert into .Mobi format and yes it's free.
@Martin - Sounds good.
Jumblies and Plethoras are underrated.
Totally.
Jefe, would you say it's a plethora of jumblies?
...or a jumble of plethoras?
Booked. Podcast will be reviewing Nova Parade. :-)
Yay!
Sweeeeeet!
Booked? Oh man! I just plethora'd.
My favorite part about this anthology is that it is free. Wait. No. The jumblies. No, dammit. The authors. Yes, my favorite part about this anthology is the long list of talented authors being featured.
You can quote that in whole or in part for promotional material.
I can't wait to read these stories! Even more fun knowing (sort of) the people. Congratulations to all.
Oh, I will be buying Nikkles more than a beer. Shots of New Deal and Lappies.
Great news about Booked - bloody brilliant, mates. Plus what Chester said (above).
I'm pretty excited about the Booked deal.
Nova Parade is geared toward promoting the authors who have contributed stories, interviews, or helped out with Solarcide in some way over the past year. Those were the authors we reached out to for stories.
Direct links to purchase the works of each author will be provided within the anthology, be it Amazon or Barnes&Noble stores, links to the purchase sections of indedpendent presses, along with links to author websites.
So the possibility of these authors making bank is still existent, at least for the ones selling work at this time.
Free, at least in our minds, increases the chances of a reader actually downloading the Nova Parade anthology and learning about these authors and where to go to buy and read more of their work, and that's really the whole point at this stage, simply to reach as many people as possible.
The release of more volumes or anthologies from Solarcide in the future, for Sale, is definitely a strong possibility.
But at this time, we're simply celebrating 1 year of existence, and Nova Parade is our Thank You and Promotional Tool for the authors of today who have helped to make Solarcide what it is.
Sounds great to me. I like free. Making money is so 80s.
Fuck Money. Unless I need it, then don't fuck it. Get fucked and make some coin.
Free is magic though.
Free opens minds.
T minus
days.
