Congrats, Jeffrey!!! :D
I am here to announce that I, too, have a novel out today! And it's been ages since I whored out anything here, so here goes!
I have this little zombie series, see? It's sort of light - more Warm Bodies than World War Z, but there's plenty of blood and guts and a lot of nasty little characters. The first two have been out as ebooks for a while, but the final one, called Jenna's War, just released today! It's only $1.99 on Amazon for a limited time (incidentally, you can get the paperback of the series opener on sale, as well, and the second ebook is also on sale - amazing, that, isn't it??). I'd love for you to check out the series, but if you only buy one, check out Jenna's War. It's the culmination of four years of hard work and learning, it can stand on its own, and I want you to love it!! Dammit! :)
My first horror story, "Take the Flay Train" (originally in Pantheon's Ares volume) has been featured at Revolt Daily as part of thier Halloween series.

Anyone who has stories they'd like to find a home for, you might look at https://quarterreads.com/ - they take short stories (up to 2000 words), vet them lightly (they want GOOD stories, but as many as they can get their hands on) and then let the public download them for a quarter each, most of which (eventually) goes to the author. I've got one of mine on there : The Ties That Bind . Early days, but an interesting experiment.

Just a quickie here — I'm doing one of those dreaded Kickstarter things through North American publisher Under Belly Comics, basically to publish the first 12 issues of my monthly comic book BULLET GAL as a glossy 300+ page trade paperback.
Yep, one of those things Batman and Captain America usually hang out in.
This is basically a loving homage to hardboiled noir, detective stories, Dada, sci-fi and pulp fiction produced in the first half of the 20th century... with a bonus cover painting by Niagara Detroit, and a video clip to—er—die for.

COVER REVEAL for DISINTEGRATION:
JUNE 2, 2015
In a brilliantly stylish breakthrough thriller for fans of Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho and Will Christopher Baer’s Kiss Me, Judas, here is the compelling tale of a man who has lost it all—and is now navigating a crooked, harrowing path to redemption.
Once a suburban husband and father, now the man has lost all sense of time. He retains only a few keepsakes of his former life: a handmade dining room table, an armoire and dresser from the bedroom, and a tape of the last message his wife ever left on their answering machine. These are memories of a man who no longer exists. Booze and an affair with a beautiful woman provide little relief, with the only meaning left in his life comes from his assignments. An envelope slipped under the door of his apartment with the name and address of an unpunished evildoer. The unspoken directive to kill. And every time he does, he marks the occasion with a memento: a tattoo. He has a lot of tattoos.
But into this unchanging existence seep unsettling questions. How much of what he feels and sees can he trust? How much is a lie designed to control him? He will risk his own life—and the lives of everyone around him—to find out.

James P Hassell
December 22, 2014 - 8:12am
The culmination of a dead end job, a disappointed mother, and undiagnosed mental issues lead to a major depressive episode and a suicide attempt. This was the lowest point of Dustin’s young life. But when he acts upon his darker impulses new, unexpected people pop up in his world. He meets Cody, a possible hallucination who has a knack for never being wrong who has taken it upon himself to try to help Dustin navigate his life. And Sarah, who could be the love of his life after his premature death and resuscitation.
Can Dustin work through his issues and overcome the path God has asked him to travel? Or will Dustin find out the hard way that things can always get worse? Travel with him as he struggles to find happiness in a world that is constantly knocking him down.
James P Hassell's debut with the Faith Series is a chilling look into the modern world, religion, mental health, family, and relationships. He makes a smashing entry that pulls absolutely no punches in this dark comedy filled with heart wrench decisions and razor sharp writing that will leave you begging for more.
If you are a fan of the minimalist style and satire of Chuck Palahniuk and the gritty pulp of Victor Gischler you'll love the world James P Hassell creates.
