Not sure how this happened, but I was trying to post a thank you response to a peer who left me some helpful critique on my workshop submission, and my response took the Review format with Stars to select, like it was letting me post a review for myself.
I didn't notice until it was too late, and my response posted as a review to my own story, and the no stars selected knocked down my rating by a whole star from 3 1/2 stars to 2 1/2 stars.
So just be careful or beware if you're workshopping/leaving feedback. It must be a glitch and I've notifed tech support because I didn't think you could leave a review to your own story, or leave a review without selecting stars, but my response definitey did just that -here's the link: http://litreactor.com/workshop/sub/veterans-day-at-berkshire-wilkes-by-nathan-pettigrew
Thanks for the report. You shoudn't be able to leave stars on your own submission, let alone not leave stars at all.
We're looking into the cause and hope to have a solution soon.
If anyone else happens across this, please let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up Nathan.
The comments also show up as a review. It makes stories where an author responds to a comment look like it has many more critiques than it actually does.
It's still doing that thing where it counts the author's comments to critiques as critiques. I remember the Cult writer's workshop had this problem for a while.
And while I'm asking for stuff, can I have a tiny horse? Like the size of a dog. I love those tiny horses.
That's because we haven't done anything to work around that yet, byran. It's on the list of suggestions and things to put in place, though.
