Growing up in the 90s, I grew up with games like Grandia, Secret Of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Grandia. And later on Arc The Lad, Star Ocean, and other JRPGs like this.
What were JRPGS you've found to be an influence in your writing?
can't say it influenced my writing but FF3 was epic
I've never played JRPGs. I did, however, play worms, need for speed, colin mcrae and carmageddon. But those hardly influenced me.

RIGHT? Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPGs, ever. I don't know that it's really influenced how I write, but I love that game.
I bet Pokemon had an effect on me. I don't write stories about battling monsters or anything like that, but I played those games so many damn times as a kid that it's hard to imagine them not influencing my imagination.
You know what RPG was badass, had a good story? Dragon Age Origins.
The old Dragon Warrior series on 8 bit Nintendo. It was great.
FF7 hit me at the right time too, I remember...
Here here for Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasty 7. Giving a play through of Final Fantasy 5 too. Dragon Warrior was awesome too.

Think steam has one for PC. In fact, there was a PC version some time back...
I want to get the PS4 version just to see if I can play it with a neat head set.
