Do you bother encrypting pdf and .mobi files before sending them for review?
No. And I'm pretty sure it's impossible to do.
You CAN with a zip program like IZArc. It seems silly, people will get sick of you doing it, but it can be done. Also they'll need the password.
Not usually, but I was reviewing a draft of a known author's novel, and we used password-protected PDFs back and forth in Acrobat Pro (I like its markup tools). I wouldn't encrypt my own submissions, though, no.
And maybe it's just paranoia, but whenever I drop any advance stuff like that onto my Kindle, I always change the title to something stupid, because it backs my personal documents up in the cloud, and I don't want to be the one responsible for a leak.
I don't think password protecting a zip file would really work for these purposes considering after the file is unzipped, it's no longer password protected.
