what do we suppose this indicates? TV also requires less brain activity than reading, and it's a pretty well established fact thats a bad thing. or, do we take the stance that because it's easier to process we're getting the same experience and education, just doing it faster? and again, is faster better? is the absorbtion as complete?
This is an interesting find, would you mind linking the source? Personally, I think if gaining knowledge is made easier then it could encourage people to strive for intelligence. For some reason ignorance is a trend right now; maybe e-readers will help fix that.
I don't want to go easy on my brain. I want it to sweat, huff and puff, work for results. I want my brain to pave my road to knowledge with burning synapses and strong connections. There's a difference between working smarter and working harder, and I don't believe the "easy" in this case is better.

I think the article is a load of BS. Sure maybe the convenience of downloading books is similar to finding almost any fact on Google which makes me think, we have more access to information than any other generation but were still somehow pretty dumb (some people, not you guys of course). But besides that, I think E-readers are a great invention and will make people start reading more again. Unless of course they just use them to download Twilight novels or something. I might be bias though because my Kindle is glued to my hand.
