Mike Tyson to Pull No Punches in Revealing Memoir

Mike Tyson Memoir

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is expected to publish a revealing tell-all memoir titled Undisputed Truth through Blue Rider Press next summer.

The memoir will chronicle Tyson’s colorful past, including his rise to fame in the ring, his tumultuous marriage to actress Robin Givens, and how he subsequently squandered a fortune worth an estimated $400 million. The boxer-turned-actor, who starred in both Hangover movies, will craft the book with the help of Larry “Ratso” Sloman, best known for his work on Howard Stern’s second book, Miss America.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal was negotiated by Blue Rider President David Rosenthal, for an as-yet undisclosed sum. Tyson is currently represented by David Vigliano, of Vigliano Associates.

Tyson’s life story will no doubt captivate readers. The jail time Tyson served for sexual assault, the renowned Holyfield-Tyson II fight that left Holyfield missing part of an ear, and the allegations of marital abuse are all ingredients of a potential bestseller. However, although the deal is no doubt good news for the troubled former champion, the question remains whether the publishing world needs another shocking celebrity memoir.
