Vonnegut Library prepares to party

Do you love Vonnegut? Do you also love to party? Do you also live in Indianapolis?

Then this is where you need to be on Jan. 28: The Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library will be celebrating its first anniversary with a day of informative and entertaining Vonnegut-related events!

Visitors will be treated to a viewing of the Schehr Collection, which contains Vonnegut’s first edition books and magazines. A string quartet from Butler University’s School of Music will provide live music. The Heartland Actors Repertory Theatre (HART) will present a staged reading of Vonnegut’s only play, Happy Birthday, Wanda June. (Tickets are $45.00 per person for that).

And that's just a glimpse of the festivities they have in store. Check out the library's website to find out more (as well as to find out about timing and other pertinent logistics).

This sounds like an incredibly fun day but I live too far away to attend, so writing this post actually makes me depressed. So it goes.
