February Book Club Selection: 'The Devil All The Time' by Donald Ray Pollock
Update: Donald Ray Pollock has graciously offered his time and will be answering questions via email about The Devil All The Time. To get your questions in, head over to this this thread. You'll need to register for the site to post your question for Donald. We also appreciate if you've actually read the book.
Every month here at LitReactor, we celebrate reading with a new selection in our Book Club! Pretend there aren't cities, states and countries between us and that instead, we're all sitting in someone's kitchen together, discussing our latest read. If you can envision that, you have a pretty good idea of how discussions on our messageboard for each new book go.
For February we will be reading and discussing Donald Ray Pollock's critically acclaimed sophmore effort, The Devil All The Time. Donald's first book, Knockemstiff, was one of Chuck Palahniuk's favorite books of 2008. Chuck even toured alongside Donald that year.
Here's the way this works, folks: Pete Goutis, our ace in the hole from ChuckPalahniuk.net, has stepped back up to the plate to fill the role of Book Club moderator and will be leading the online discussion for this selection.
Discussion for The Devil All The Time will kick off on February 15th, but you should pick up the book and start reading ASAP! (We've provided a handy link below). Once you're locked and loaded, you can announce your presence in the Book Club. (No invitation needed!) That thread is where all discussion about the book will go down.
So head on over to announce your involvement.
If you don't already have it (and why the hell not!), you can order The Devil All The Time from Amazon below.
