Without my glasses, I read that as you slinking away with your two thumbs fucked into your pocket. Which, to me, could plausibly make sense.
You thumbed people think you're so cool, what with all your hitchhiking and shit.

I don't see a contradiction at all. His pic doesn't say he doesn't suck. It just acknowledges that we, too, in fact, suck.

So, you really don't like Baer? I was sent a book of all his work but haven't read it.

Nah, I very much dislike Baer, and once, around the time I made this thread, I "contributed" a long post here just listing the amount of times he mentioned a character's gun in a book. I suppose I haven't been posting here in long enough now that such moments are irrelevant.
All I have these days is my memories, and some explosive devices that I strap around my waist when I'm afraid of violent street crime.

I'll still read it at some point and judge for myself. I like books about guns, but not mentioning them every couple of pages or so. I read and write crime stories, so I may like it. To each his own and all that shit. By the way, no need for the explosives. Just jump around, pull at your hair and yell non-sensical bullshit and nobody will fuck with you.

How could you not like a guy who writes books about people who play a role playing game that involves biting one another's tongues in a nonsexual manner?
I'm breaking up with you.

I think you just don't like him because his last name is more European than yours.*
*I always consider that Germans are more European than all the other Europeans. Except maybe for the French. Is Jourdan a French surname?

Jourdan is a French name.
I knew it. It has the "zh" sound instead of the "j" sound, right?
In that case, your name is probably just as European as Baer's, so I'm all out of reasons why you would hate his writing. I think maybe this all stems from that time we got drunk and I said, "I'm not a big fan of Faulkner. Read Pylon. Wasn't impressed," and you, grasping at straws for a way to hurt me, said, "Well I think that W.C. Baer is overrated!" not realizing that I had said earlier in the conversation that I was a fan of Bear Grylls, not Will-Chris Baer.
Easy misunderstanding to make.
