There is the political element as well.
You have Edward who is a symbol of Capitalism.
Edward who is in complete control of Bella, who is just the average person. Also the fact that she has no powers is a symbol of how powerless we as a society are against capitalism.
Then you have Jacob who is a symbol of Communism. He is trying to force himself on Bella just as communism does. But the average person (Bella) is tempted by the idea, but doesn't want to fully commit.
I, for one, am grateful that you have brought this ground-breaking and insightful, literary gem to my attention. It is about time we had such a fresh new take on these enchanting beasts. This is clearly light years ahead of its time, and a benchmark against which future vampire/werewolf love triangles should be measured.
If that last pic is a chick, she's kinda hot.
Can you tell I'm lonely at 330am?
There's this chick where I work, you know, has butter face. One morning I thought, you know,
"She's kinda hot."
So I said,"What the fuck, over?"
"She's hot, kinda, nice body, face is meh," I replied.
I told myself, "Okay, maybe she's country hot."
I laughed and said, "Yeah dude, third world county hot."
So now I have to use that in a story, that I'm not telling myself. At 330 am.
Once I read Twilight my whole life changed. I stopped reading anything else. I just read Twilight over and over and over again. And then I read it some more. I don't watch TV or see movies anymore, either, just the Twilight movies. All the time. On a constant loop. I named my daughter Bella and legally changed my name to Bella and I insist my husband answer to the name Edward. Because he is a good husband and understands the importance of fine literature, he abides.
It makes me so sad that so many people hate on these books, because, if they can't see the literary and soul changing value of these books--where ARE we as a society?
