@Danny - No worries. It's just a very subtle touch on lonliness, just a couple extra sentences in the scene where he picks up the Bailey chick.

For another anthology I would love to do medical anomalies. A mix of sympathetic, bizarre and emotional ones about all the different physical illnesses out there. This is my niche apparently, deformed literature.

I don't know what Christian Erotica is, but two of the last three stories I wrote revolved around nuns or extreme Christian believers having explicit, unorthodox sex. Yup.

At the moment, I'm having a short rest, and rewriting/editing work. However, for the future, I'm going to rewrite from scratch my eighteen year old gay hitmen story. Make it a lot more dark, and remove the twincest...because there are boundaries.

Brandon - didn't you do a piece on that a while ago for LR? Will we get to see any of it in the workshop section? If so, I'm really interested in getting a sneak peak into this weirdly intriguing genre of fiction that seems so contradictive and almost sacro!

I think I originally called it Pray Good, Fuck Great and gave a brief description.
Probably won't throw it in workshop, however, I don't think it will be too long before it's actually out in print. A publisher is interested.

JameseyLefebure
from Liverpool, Uk is reading The Gunslinger- Stephen KingJanuary 18, 2012 - 4:10pm
I'm currently trying to do a few things -
1. a 2nd perspective zombie story focusing on the tranformation only (could really really use any suggestions about tensing and pacing to build tension)
2. I'm working on a novel set in Liverpool about a group of ancient gods who are trying to protect the world from magic returning.
3. a short story about my biggest fears.....not sure what that is though!!
that's me the book is the main thing I'm working on, but I keep trying to push myself in the horror/fantasy genre by writing short stories, but really just want to work on my book!!

I just wrapped up 2 stories from the intensive I took with Dr. Jones.
One of them's an update or complete revision of a story I already mentioned in this thread a few months ago that never came together for me—fucker was 20 pages too long and frustrating so I put it aside.
And then in Week 2 of the intensive, I used the assignment guidelines to revisit the plot and came out with a much tighter and almost completely different story at 1000 words, 4 pages. Has much more of an emotional punch, too, thanks to what we learned or the tools we were given.
Week 3 gave me a brand new story altogether about a werewolf—my first werewolf story with a unique spin, and that one went over really well. That one's solid.
But I'm giving the first story I mentioned another quick polish and then right now I'm working on an interview.
