Conley, don't sweat it. You can either a)right-click on your unopened document, go to Properties, Summary, and then change Author to WAR, or b) send it and Avery or I will do that for you. No biggie either way.

I have the knowledge and experience to fix this issue. I check for it. One of the few things I'm good at.
Funny story, Round 2 last time...I didn't do that. So technically that round was not anonymous at all. But if anyone (other than Utah) noticed, they didn't mention it.

It didn't cross my mind to check (or to delete it in mine).
PS: the letters of my name are sprinkled throughout my story, in random order. And the letters of the names of all of you too!

Heard about this through wonderwoman1100... is it too late to join? If not, I would like to.

At Tom Martin. Go here and request to be an alternate. I know that two people dropped in the first round. I'm not sure how many alternates we have left. It is possible you could be entered into the next round though you may have to start in the loser bracket with 1 loss already of the double elim. tourny.
After you make your request, Utah or Avery will let you know if you are on the alternate list or alowed into the comp. They are very busy right now so you may have to wait a bit to find out.

Okay, and an alternate is... someone waiting to be let into the tournament because it's full, then? That's my best guess. I don't know sports terminology. I'm still baffled by "seeds" but that doesn't seem to matter. When does the next round start, abouts?

Well, the new prompts should be dropping tonight or possibly in the morning. Yes, there is some concern that some contestents may not be able to continue so an alternate is waiting ready to fill the shoes. It is possible that there are already spots that need filling so if you want in someone will let you know.

...does an alternate have to write and submit and then see if their submission makes it in, or could they find out if they're in, THEN write?

You don't write unless you know you are in.

Martin, consider yourself at WAR. I'll put you in, but we'll start you in the Loser's Bracket to be fair to winners from Round 1. You'll get a prompt in a little while.
