The solution is to bring me back in the game so I can have a rematch with Moon. That simplifies and clarifies everything.

Hmm. It's a nice idea Chester but won't it just drag out the final by another fortnight? We need a king/queen of the battlefield, this thing is too close to a climax to extend it now.
Hmm. Knowing now why Moon dropped out, it's tough on the fella. He was doing well and it must have been a bummer for him. Done cannot be undone though. J.Y. has done a cracking job of stepping in and if he makes the final (I aint dead yet, mofo's) then I think the shot at winning should be his.
Maybe him and Moon-man should split the loot if they win? One take the LR class voucher and the other take the Amazon voucher? (That was the main prize right? Memory is a little hazy) They should both get mugs, because lets face it, the mugs were the prizes that made all our eyes light up, right? Ha.
Something else. Is the bronze match actually happening? It's on the roster, but it looks to me like that is a standard template and maybe it just came with the bronze slots on there? Utah? Jessica?
I ask because, well, do we want a bronze match? Do we need it? To use a sports analogy, it's a bit like the 3rd place playoff at the world cup, which has an unwritten tagline of being the most pointless match in the whole sporting year. Everyone's attention is, and rightly so, on the real final.
Plus the prizes for both losing semi-finalists are the same (again if memory serves me correctly) right?
Just wondering aloud. If people do want that match, and if I do get knocked out, then I'll happily compete for third place.
Hmmm, to sum up - you could render this whole post moot by voting for me and ensuring I get to the final instead!!!! Muah hah hah hah.

^^THIS^^
The reason we had alternates was for this very reason. If JY wins, it is because he beat writers who were able to beat other writers and he has therefore earned his place.

I didn't realize this conversation would pick up any momentum. Avery and Wicked are correct. In withdrawing from the competition, one forfeits one's right to return. The way that Ryan had to leave was unfortunate, but final.
As to the bronze match: let's just say, very hypothetically, that Martin and I lose. Then we would go on to the bronze match. This much is clear to everybody, just stating the obvious. Martin, you are probably the person in the competition I most wanted to compete against. But I'd rather not do it in a bronze match. Now, that's just my opinion, and if someone other than me winds up in the bronze match I'm open to their opinion. But when I put the competition together I threw that second match-up on as an afterthought. Now I look at it and am sort of concerned that it might detract from the Battle We've All Been Waiting For, which is the Final Round: Nightmare.
So I'm leaning toward no bronze match. Other thoughts?

I just assumed that the bronze match would happen at the same time as the final match. So there would still be four stories to read in the next round, thus making it that slight bit more difficult to pick out who wrote what.

Chester stirring up trouble.
I just like keeping the chatter alive cuz I love WAR and it is all quiet like all the soldiers got shot and the Workshop is super quiet and thank god for the Flash thing that is going to explode and you guys all make the fuck sure you post a 250 worder on the main page Flash.
Yes RICHARD, this includes you. If I don't see an egg story from Richard I will egg his house. And perhaps toilet paper it too.
Come to think of it, that goes for all of you.

I'm voting no for the Bronze. Voodoo is right, everyone's going to be focused on the final battle. Now if you two wanted to do a Bronze Medal, get over to the Battledome and have it out over there. That poor thead has been desolate as of late.

Actually, Beka, congratulations. You earned this win big time. That was an excellent story and although I -- God, I really hate losing, it's a genetic thing -- hate losing, you did a top-notch job. My hat's off to you. If I had to lose to anybody in WAR, I'm glad it was to you.
