wow, that's some serious competition. congrats to everyone who made it through. these prompts, wow, they are brutal. do we have to include the whole thing in the front of the story? wow. okay voodoo, not looking forward to this. i expect it to be very close. happy easter. go eat some chocolate.
@Richard and @Bekanator- you both wrote my two favorite stories this past round. Beka I could spot, but Richard, you really tweaked your voice this past round. Couldn't spot it at all. Looking forward to the next couple of rounds.

thanks for the kind words guys. man, this round, the prompts are wild. brutal. no idea, but excited to get to it. yeah. i stopped goofing around about the minute i read the first round submission. i know that anybody could take me down at any time. even the rounds i won, it wasn't like i won 32-0, they were still pretty close (too close for my comfort). there's been a target on my back since the first round, i know that.
so, dakota, did we have a side wager, yeah? do i still get to claim my prize? :-)

No offense to anyone, but there are no easy battles this round - in my opinion. Each of you better work! I would call no one's victory an "upset" this time.

In an unfortunate turn of events, R.Moon was forced by circumstances beyond his control to withdraw from WAR. He was a valiant fighter and will be missed.
In order that his opponent for this round continue to have an opponent (no easy week for you, Xyzy!), we are slotting in the #1 alternate, Mr. J.Y. Hopkins, to continue in R.Moon's stead.
