I want to give a special thanks to Averydoll for running this thing while I'm still in the competition.  Her organization and planning are top-notch and her prompts are the jump-off points for all these stories.  Without her this would not be running as smoothly or as anonymously as it is.

Thanks, Avery!

@Richard and @Bekanator- you both wrote my two favorite stories this past round. Beka I could spot, but Richard, you really tweaked your voice this past round. Couldn't spot it at all. Looking forward to the next couple of rounds.

And Danny is one round closer to get a picture of my cock. I don't welch on a bet people!

I'm very excited about this round. Every matchup looks to be grueling.

My dissatisfaction is piqued. After the LitReactor eventswhen of the past 24 hours, i want some Closure!

You hear me, Closure? I want some Closure!

Please see above: really, though, if that's the best I can come up with I should maybe concede now.

XYZY: where you at? I'm gunnin' for ya!
Richard: upping the game now. The first round was civil war. Second round was korean war. Third, world war I. If, and when, I move on to the fourth round, and if you move on... Skipping WWII and straight to WWIII. These colors don't run, or more appropriately, these words don't run... :)

@ Richard. It's on, man. Fuck, I have to duel against the guy that wrote Victimised. I loved that story. Anyways, you know I dig your short stories so this is an honour. If I lose, I shall not be disapointed in the slightest. If I win, I'm gonna be absolutely delighted.

thanks for the kind words guys. man, this round, the prompts are wild. brutal. no idea, but excited to get to it. yeah. i stopped goofing around about the minute i read the first round submission. i know that anybody could take me down at any time. even the rounds i won, it wasn't like i won 32-0, they were still pretty close (too close for my comfort). there's been a target on my back since the first round, i know that.

so, dakota, did we have a side wager, yeah? do i still get to claim my prize? :-)

my offer still stand, so to you, wickedvoodoo, i'm offering up a signed/limited of Transubstantiate is you take me down. if you have that, i have an extra signed copy of Shivers VI. your call.

good luck all, this is going to be a really close battle, i think, in every matchup. i don't see anybody pooping the bed from here on out.

"if i get there."

For real.

No offense to anyone, but there are no easy battles this round - in my opinion.  Each of you better work!  I would call no one's victory an "upset" this time.

As for the question of posting the whole prompt in the front.....

I want to say yes, however, if for any reason you would rather not, you can post the title at the front and I will post the entire thing As the first comment of your poll.  Any thougths on that?

Also, thanks for not having any problems!!!  I'm very excited about this round!

In an unfortunate turn of events, R.Moon was forced by circumstances beyond his control to withdraw from WAR.  He was a valiant fighter and will be missed.

In order that his opponent for this round continue to have an opponent (no easy week for you, Xyzy!), we are slotting in the #1 alternate, Mr. J.Y. Hopkins, to continue in R.Moon's stead.

Everyone please, a big welcoming round of applause for Mr. Hopkins.

I am still not wearing pants.  I salute you.

Farewell, Mr. Moon.  See you soon.
