i was originally going to post a 'release' photo from the original film in challend to Richard's photo, but in searching for Poseiden holding his breath and moon-walking underwater by the gates i found the Owl and it's awesome and i got distracted.

Yeah I like them poetry prompts, good idea. A good variety of prompts would be nice or they end up getting too plot-specific, "your dog took a shit in the laundry basket NOW RIGHT THAT," sort of thing.

Okay, reading this thing over, I think the solution that will work generally better for everyone, myself included, will be to make the DEADLINE SUNDAY, MARCH 18, @ 10:00 PM CST. So, we have a date and timing change. This schedule will make this whole thing smoother, I think. It will give everybody, including us procrastinators, a whole weekend to either write or finish our story. And it will mesh way more smoothly with my family life. An undivorced Utah is a happy Utah!
Aside from this shift back of two days and five hours, the schedule remains the same. We run the rest of this on two week cycles. A week of writing, a week of polling.
This will be the final adjustment of time for this competition. Future rounds will not be extended because we got spoiled on a 10-day schedule this time. All future rounds of writing will be one week.

It'll be Sunday night to Sunday night. As soon as story deadline goes around I'll check the stories to make sure they're anonymous, then post the polls.
And if I get both stories in a matchup earlier than deadline on Sunday, I will post them early. But no earlier than Sunday. That way everything won't be so last-minute. But I will not pester anybody to submit stories early.

@rach122: No, I can only accept a single draft. This is gonna have to be like chess. You move your piece and take your hand off, you have to leave it. So once it's in my email-box, it's your submission.
Don't second-guess yourself too much. Revise and be confident!

Of course I'll take it, Alien. My email account isn't so trainable that it won't show up. I just won't post a poll for it and I'll give the win to your opponent. Unless your opponent is also late, in which case I will ask one of the alternates to be so kind as to step into the next round so that contestant still has someone to compete against.
Just realized you're trolling me. *kicks self in nuts*

Utah - do they not have this expression where you are from?
This one time...at band camp... But seriously, in high school band, we talked about your chops all the time. Playing a clarinet requires strong mouth muscles.

WWWWAAAAARRRRRRRRR
All right Reactors, prepare to get lit up...
I am ready!
In the spirit of war...
@Voodoo_em
I didn't know it was a Morrisey pose! And it's like two years old but the best I have at the moment. Grrrr.
@Laurance
We should make riddles and poems some of the prompts.
Does that scare you guys?
I think it's a good idea, I mean look at R.Moon and Utah's recent stories.
Poetry and riddles are up to the readers interpretation rather than a point to wrap the plot around.
I am in favor of poetry prompts. Maybe we culd save them for later rounds? Final four - ALL POETRY!!
I don't like riddles though.
You are a riddle.
i was originally going to post a 'release' photo from the original film in challend to Richard's photo, but in searching for Poseiden holding his breath and moon-walking underwater by the gates i found the Owl and it's awesome and i got distracted.

I don't mean to be a riddle.
Also, friends, I don't mean to be a stubborn jerk either. Love you all!
Your love means nothing in this thread, I see the distraction.
You will die by my keyboard.

There's a lot of sci-fi vs. transgressive horror types. Reminds me of something...
Also, if you like poetry, join my secret niche.

Your posts look all official.
ONE question. When does the poll open? Is it monday to monday?

No multiple drafts! I don't know.

So 10 your time is like 7 mine I think? PST? What if my submission is one min late, will you still take it?

Licks chops.
What, exactly, are chops?
Your chops are your mouth.
She's licking her mouth? Or does she possess some other mouth that she licks when she gets ready to fight? This is confusing.
I'm going to make you all cry and run away like this guy.
She licks her other mouths with her forked tongue. Sheesh, it's pretty obvious.
There are a lot of Butlers in this tournament.

Vagina Dentata
Aka: War Chops.
That's where my life is lacking. I've always let others play my clarinet for me.
It's all about proper muscle tone.

ah, i don't though. i like all youse guys. i can't wait to become acquainted with your writings.
I can't wait to be surprised when the people who i thought wrote a story...didn't actually write the story.
So, yeah. Nerd excitement.
4.5 HOURS!!!!
Geez, I really hope I don't forget...
That is the gayest I have ever seen Harrison Ford look. Seriously. That expression just screams, "I wanna get my gay all over you."
LOL! It's my fault. My femininity is so overpowering it even effects Harrison Ford.
I will make a skin suit out of you.
That is me when I was with the Scout Sniper Platoon with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines.
You guys talk the talk, do you walk the walk?
Is that a skin suit you're wearing there, Diaz? Because if it's not, I think Laurance might have you by half a peg or so.
