I won't vote because I didn't read them all.
Were there best overall polls like this in the other rounds? This one is non-private.
I'm like one of those blind kung-fu guys.
Don't touch me!
Well, Hopkins, you should read them! Or do you not have locked poll access?
He does not. I sent him my story though as that doesn't break the anonymity wall.
Son of a...
That kind of sucks.
Neath sure shot up an early lead.
I just shot up.
Here is an illustration for the story I liked a lot:
Just re-read them again.
The writing and pacing, the concept with the puzzles, the tension. The whole story.
Better Places dominated this round.
I also voted for Better Places - and it wasn't to get Chester excited. I just thought it was quite an interesting take on zombie apocalypse - makes sense actually.
Woah, woah... easy, dude... I'm not trying to start anything... just chill out, bro...
I'm guessing you have to sign up for the workshop to read any these stories I hear wonderful things about?
Well, actually I have them all downloaded!
Let's see, how does $200 a story sound?
I'd give them to you for $100.
Do I hear $50?
Plus, I will soon have a baby to care for:
You guys are gonna be hearing from my lawyers.
They love buying black-market short stories.
Avery. Mail incoming.
How about 5 bucks and a half case of Mr pipp. These offers don't last long so I'd take it while its still up.
I was rugging my slit and sploosh gushed out.
Looking like a mighty fine duel between Neath and Better Places is shaping up here.
I voted for Better Places. The jigsaw puzzle concept was awesome.
It was also the stuff of horrifying nightmares... I am disturbed ~ so well done for that.
Winner gets publication in Surreal Grotesque.
Now that all depends. I am the winner's agent, so you will have to go through Chester Alabaster Pane first.
I guess Better Places was Bekantor's?
Did it actually have anything to do with a model blowing the Eiffel Tower?
Looking at this poll, I didn't think the contests would be as close as they were.
Neither did I! Both matches were exactly the same, voting-wise.
And Better Places didn't really have anything to do with blowing the Eiffel Tower. I can send it over your way if you want, Hopkins.
Uh, bullshit. Yes, it totally had to do with blowing the Eiffel tower. That would be the illustration for the story. Hoppy will agree. I garen-fuckin-tee-it.
I suppose if you want to get deep in the metaphor, she was techically exchanging sexual favours to make it through the apocalypse to live in that "better place" again. I really do like that picture, though! I wanted to say something about it but I didn't want people to guess that it was my story by leading them on.
