Just a reminder, today is the last day to get in "official" reviews and comments. Once Scare Us is technically over, you will all still be able to comment on and rate stories you just won't be eligible for any goodies!
My initial look tell us that Scare us was a huge success. Thanks everyone!

I'm going through all these great reviews and I can't help but wonder...
Jonathan Riley and sean of the dead, do you know each other? Because in my head I have invented a rivalry between the two of you where you only comment on stories that the other one has commented on, each bent on out doing the other.
Right?
Am I right?
Is there some fort of geeky nemesis stuff going on here?
Please say yes.

They both read my story and both gave great commentary. But I support their rivalry, even if they claim not to be. A good rival is hard to come by. However, is anyone is in need of differentiating between a nemesis and arch enemy, I suggest the following as outlined by the very wise Chuck Klosterman:

I didn't know Jonathan Riley until the very end of the challenge. He wrote me and pointed out we had the same philosophy as far as the stories go, trying to read every one from newest to oldest. I wish we were rivals. I guess there's still a lot of time before the world ends, maybe we could become rivals...

Turning into a sappy sort for a moment...I was honestly really happy to be a part of this and to read as many stories as I did because there are so damn many good ones in here. I just joined the site around the time this challenge started, and since then I've gotten to meet a bunch of awesome people (meet on the internet at least) and read some really amazing stories at the same time. Not to mention get some great feedback for my own story. This has been a blast, and I really hope there is another challenge following this one. I'll be right there again, reading as much as possible.

No one is going to believe that it is a coincidence that I'm following Sean the Dead (my rival)! But here I am once agian. Scare Us was "Scary Awsome."(1998 deushbag allusion intended) Can't wait to do it agian. Hope to jump in earlier next time. I'm new to the sight and I know alot of people (especially me) want people to read their story and tell them what they think about it or how to improve it or both. I've never given a written reveiw before this challenge so I just hope that atleast some of mine were helpful. I feel like I mostly just drooled over all the fantastic stories this competition produced. But since I did alot of drooling I got alot of great prizes. Those shirts are awsome! Thanks to everyone who submitted stories. So sorry I didn't have time to read more. But also thanks to all those other remarkable reveiwers. My story is going to benefit greatly. So congrats, and my hat's off to everyone who had anything to do with "Scare Us" (My arm hairs still tingle)
Special thanks to Jane, She was the first to read my story and I was inspired by her commitment to read and give excellent reveiws.
I would totally be down with a Jane and Emma rivalry!

I really enjoyed writing for this challenge, and it was great to receive relevant and helpful feedback. Makes you feel better about your end result when you know it's gone through several refining fires.
But better than that, getting the chance to read work by others was more rewarding for me personally. Nobody I read took the same approach to the challenge, and I learned something from each story I read--some, what to do better and some, what to avoid.
So grateful for the chance to participate.

Out of curiosity, has any one else noticed that since the window closed several stories have gotten thumbs down without comments? Some of them (like Hatch and Follow the Leader) had been perfect, so it's kind of a bummer that they got voted down without an explanation. If you take the time to read and vote you should take the time to comment, too, especially if you go thumbs down. <end bitching>
