Has anyone had their writing motivations like drastically change after a long time from writing a specific genre they used to write. Like it really seems like, no matter what, I just can't seem to do science fiction.

I think it has to do with changes desires: I want to write Sf that explores the depths of the human experience, and less exploring new technology or alternative worlds. So I would even write about even current virtual reality for the longest time.

Maybe you are more interested in magical realism or writing allegory? I don't think you should give up on the idea of writing science fiction if it's something that you want to do. Ask for a prompt from someone else, maybe. I found that, with a prompt, I wrote in genres that I never thought I would write in.

Your right, maybe I'll do that later.

I've been kind of procrastinating lately with this style choice I'm experimenting with.

I think my issue is I want speculative still, but not like overt technology. In the past I always invented technology for my stories.

I might request a prompt about things not as they seem in the present, and memory. Like time and space merging into a single loop repeating itself. Maybe with like a paradox to tie it together.
