I don't think there is much difference besides convenience. Peer review, lectures, assignments. And the instructors encourage questions to them. I like online classes more after taking a couple here.

I came so close to taking it. So, so close. Then I realized I wouldn't be able to buy food for my kid, and the faculty position I thought I was getting wasn't happening.
Needless to say, I'm super fucking bummed. I'd kill to take that class.
And yes, go read Double D, Money Shot, Choke Hold and Hoodtown. Christa is a gem.

Christa Faust teaching hardboiled, this is kind of a can't miss. Really want to pick her brain. People should take this class. Anyone commit to it yet?

here, before i finally say yes to this, can someone link me to one or two of her short stories? because the bottom of the barrel, for me, on this one, is this: in my opinion, is she teaching me something i really dont know how to do?

i was in no way saying i'd learned *everything* but, when you're talking about something like "believable", i think that's reasonably subjective. i was more asking toward the end there, to see a story, to see if i found her characters believable. not that she couldnt teach me something, but that i wanted to be sure that i was getting my money's worth.
and, i know that sounds kind of dick-ish, and i dont mean it that way, but it's kind of hard to explain, i guess.

Her books are only a couple bucks for the e-books. She writes hard-genre, but her characters are definitely very well-formed and they drive the narrative. This class I'm more interested in what information I can get industry-wise than the others I have taken.
That is exactly what I mean.
All the classes look good but its a lot of money for on-line.

Everytime I see the panda face, I jump up and down laughing and clapping.

I'm in this. Where's everyone else? If you're into gritty crime, you should be here no question. Still seems to be open for enrollment.
Charles, surely you havent learned everything there is to do with the craft have you? I vote yes take the class.
